That team didnt have a buyout option if i remember. And Suso was pissed how liverpool were treating him. He rarely started so when we showed interest, he didnt renew with liverpool who btw wanted to offer a new contract. Kid has talent but the wrong attitude, his skills are meant for creation not trying to score.
I think honestly once he accepts that his game will adapt instantly to this league.

Really technical. With more experience and one good LB and Cb next to him we could see a great player.
But lets be carefull, Milam has had DArmian, Elsha, DEs etc... all super potentials, all ruined so far. Or made it elswhere.

If he doesn't improve but keeps the current condition ... the 25 mill price would still be justified. He's far from a difference maker, but in perspective he's definitely someone to build a team around. Still hoping that Rodrigo Ely will be able to grow more as the season progresses.
If at the end of the season, Calabria, Rodrigo Ely, Donnaruma and Niang were fully integrated in the first team, and had at least 1000 minutes each of play time, I'd consider the season a success, because it would be a good stepping stone for the next season. Not sure whether things will get better for De Sciglio, Jose Mauri and Suso.
All things considered, patience is required ... both at keeping the overhype to a min and to allow him to make a mistake every now and then.

Our Alessio has given a lovely interview to the Milan Channel a couple of days ago, below is from Football Italia:
Alessio Romagnoli explains why he left Roma for Milan and carrying “the weight” of a €25m price-tag at the age of 20.
The centre-back was born and raised in the Giallorossi camp, but made the move to San Siro after a loan spell under Sinisa Mihajlovic at Sampdoria.
“Arriving at Milan aged 20 with this price-tag is a big weight to carry, but I am settling in well and managing to give my best,” he told Milan Channel.
“Comparisons with Alessandro Nesta make me very proud and happy. It’s difficult to match what he achieved in his career.
“I used to be a midfielder when I was young, so Zinedine Zidane was my hero, then after I arrived at Roma it was Nesta.
“I left Roma because I never felt part of the project there, as I was always going to start from the bench. When a side like Milan calls, you can’t say no.
“At the start it was tough, because the squad was changed so much over the summer, so naturally it took a while for us to find our rhythm. Working every day consistently in training has started to bring results.
“Mihajlovic asks us to give our all every day so we can emerge from this difficult moment that Milan have gone through over the last two years.
“Rossoneri fans should be optimistic, because we are a strong team and give our all. At Milan you can feel the history of the club that has won everything. When you arrive at a club like this, you have to fight to earn your place.”
Romagnoli has also been tipped to make the jump up to senior level for Italy, but in the meantime is shining for the Under-21 side.
“The Nazionale is a dream for every player. This next year is important, as there’s Euro 2016, but I have not even made my senior Italy debut, so I sincerely doubt I’ll be called up. There is a small hope.”

+1, considering the pressure that Juventus was putting, he did very well. If he keeps it up like this, he'll definitely make the top 23 for Euro 2016.
He's not a difference maker yet, and frankly I wasn't convinced initially that we should get him ... but if current performances are any indicator, his 25 mill price will be the best money we spent this summer season.
