@General I was wrong on downplaying that series but for me Lee Pace was head and shoulders above anything I couldn't see anything else event the grandeur scale.

I think I will fire it off later this year like I am watching a paining for the second time. Epics likes that cannot be watched back to back like binge mode.

season 3 releasing next year

there were some frustrating parts, but yeah, Lee Pace’s character(s)… fucking insane delivery.

the premise and the sci fi slant on the history… top fucking class

Rewatching The Recruit. It's fun but so good as the characters stay true to self and what drives them.

Going to rewatch Condor next. Really disappointed that got cancelled. Should've had at least one more season where he was a full fledged operative.

Yes - it was a shame they went more soap opera than action later in the season but it was good.

Agreed, the lead actor is excellent. I think he can do well. There is also the guy that was in We Hunt Together season 1.
I think he also could've found his way to be a star but he looked to have put on weight and I haven't seen him since.

Dont waste your time on gangs of london. There was a bit of promise but in truth the storyline was all over the place and the acting is below par.

There must have been huge budget cuts for the second season as the cars and special effects were conference league.

It did have potential. However like most of these series they just die out.

If you want to watch a series related to london and its under belly, Lock stock the series is worth a watch. Although it is 20+ years old. Only 7 parts.... but it's almost as good as the movie.

Another old boxset which came out before the move though is Traffik. It's streaming for free on channel 4. But i'm guessing it'll be available on other streaming platforms.



Made in 1989. 6 parts Set in UK, Germany and Pakistan. It actually won a few awards when it came out. Quite hard hitting... bit like The corner before the wire but well worth 6 hours of your time.

Traffik is a 1989 British television serial about an illegal drug trade. Its three stories are interwoven, with arcs told from the perspectives of Afghan and Pakistani growers, dealers and manufacturers, German dealers, and British users. It was nominated for six BAFTA Awards, winning four, including for Best Drama Series or Serial. It also won an International Emmy Award for best drama. The 2000 crime drama film Traffic, directed by Steven Soderbergh, was based on the miniseries. In turn, the 2004 American television miniseries Traffic was based on both versions.

Traffic was 10 years before the movie. And tbh it's so much better.

The lock stock series came out a few years afterwards (2000).

So I've been watching a couple of mini series on Netflix

Helicopter Heist
Had no idea it was based off a real life event. Decent watch if you can get past listening to Swedish. I'd give it a strong 7/10

Golden Hour
This was alot more intense. Terrorist strike Amsterdam. Shows how the emergency services have to respond. In the hours straight afterwards. Especially if there's more than one attack.

Can't believe I'm writing this. But it made me appreciate in how swiftly the British police handle these situations. Even when it comes to pulling the trigger.

If you got nothing else going on might be worth giving these 2 a watch.

Senna on Netflix

Now here's the creme de la creme. 10/10

I watched the Senna documentary a few years back so wasnt expecting much from this.

But I must admit the people that put this together did a top notch job.

It's a 6 part series and then straight after there's a 30 minute episode which shows making of the series. This also gives you an idea why the credits roll on for 10+ minutes after each episode. The people behind this have done amazing work.

I could write quite a bit about this. But I think it's better for those who are interested to just watch it. We'll worth a watch into the life of one of formula 1s greatest ever drivers.

I have 2 posters from my younger days that I've still kept. 1 is a huge poster of the Milan Derby in the year roberto carlos was at Inter.

The other is of a Honda Mclaren from the 92 season. With all 16 tracks on one side and the evolution of the mclaren on the right. And in the middle is the legend driving the F1 car.

Well worth your time if you're a F1 fan.
