Berlusconi - returns to Milan post.
BERLUSCONI RETURNS TO MILAN PRESIDENCY
Silvio Berlusconi has returned to his post as president of AC Milan.
The former Italian Prime Minister stepped down from the position in 2004 to meet a law that was passed earlier that year stipulating that he must not run private businesses during his time in office.
But having lost the governmental elections to Romano Prodi last month, the 69-year-old Berlusconi was free to resume his role as Milan supremo.
Vice-president Adriano Galliani has been in de facto control of the club for the past 18 months but no one actually filled the post of president during Berlusconi's absence.
Under Berlusconi, who took control of the club in 1986, Milan have become one of the most feared clubs in world football, winning four European Cups and seven Serie A crowns.
