It's now or never for Milan in the CL this season.

We lost to a better team in Liverpool in the first game. Although if we had gone 3-1 just after half time with the marginal off-side goal there is no way we lose that game. The Athletico loss is the most painful in recent memory. We were all over them and winning when Kessie killed us with two stupid yellow cards and the most appalling penalty decision gave them the win. We win that game with 11 against 11.

A depleted Milan team were poor away to Porto and with 0 points at this stage it is a huge task to get through to the last 16.

I still believe but maybe this group was one season too early for us.

We had a serious off day in Portugal. There was a lot of pressure following two defeats and we didn't manage it properly. There were also a lot of players with fatique following the injury crisis. That didn't help us either. Tomorrow will be a do or die game and players will need to rise to the occasion. I'm sure they will with the support of a roaring crowd.

The key will be our battle in midfield. We lost too much ground there in Portugal and we need to control the ball better. Bennacer has been steadily improving and Kessie delivered his best game this season in Rome. Tonali had some rest and should be ready to start tomorrow.

I'm optimistic about our chances and a win tomorrow would give us some serious motivation in Madrid.
