I'm guessing it is because in Kessié´s case it was a double yellow send off. I have never heard of a yellow card being rescinded post match.

If we win tomorrow and Liverpool beat Porto, then we should hope for a tie in Porto-Atletico, or even an Atletico win if we have an overall better goal difference.

It doesn't seem so farfetched. If we end the day beating Atletico (and getting the H2H) and Liverpool beat Porto, then we probably have a chance at qualifying.
