The Cagliari striker is one of the players on the Rossoneri’s shortlist to replace the departing Andriy Shevchenko.

After an incredible year by David Suazo, who broke Cagliari’s record of number of goals in one season, the Rossoblu attacker is now tempted by a move to Milan who are looking for a striker who can adequately replace Shevchenko upfront.

Apart from Suazo, the Rossoneri are also on the traces of Zlatant Ibrahimovic, Samuel Eto`o and Didier Drogba, with the latter being the favourite so far.

If Cagliari lose Suazo, the Sardinian side will most likely go for Lecce's Axel Konan.

Suazo is not good enough, perhaps as 4th striker to replace Amoroso but as Sheva's replacement never. We need to buy a truly world class player who is young enough to have their best year's at Milan.

That leaves 2 options who are realistic as Eto'o and Rooney wont move:

suazo is a great player for serie A. posses great pace, dribbling, shooting. He creates a lot for his teammates and creates terrible problem's for his opponent's, last season was wonderful for him. I really like the idea to bring him, to replace Amorouso as our fourth striker, and of course to sign another striker with european experience like Drogba, Crespo or someone else.

suazo would be great for milan but i don't think he will move from cagliari. his biggest sin is his nationality. if suazo was brazilian, european, african or argentinian most teams would be drooling over him. being a world cup year every mayor team will be looking to keep their top class players or to sign someone who plays well at the world cup. suazo is not going to be in the world cup. im sure at the end of summer suazo will still be at cagliari. its a pity because suazo's speed would be killer against all tipes of defense. he had great games against most big serie a teams and he deserves to play in a bigger team. i understand how most of you feel. you all want top class players at milan but just because someone is top class it doesn't mean he will be a success at milan ( eee... rui costa ) we should gamble more with players that are hungry for success especially those players that come from small teams.

With enough Italian football expirience
Physically strong
Sharp smell in the box
Young and talented

Besides,he is black and who knows he would be a second Weah?

Bad thing about Suazo is that he is just too unexperienced, especially in the international environment.

But still sounds much better than Amoroso. I agree. He should take the 4th striker's place with another experienced striker comming in. David Villa ... didn't he just sign a major contract (I think 4-5 years) with a huge buy-out(?) clause that states something like 100 million to get him before his contract expires?

This is a good question... remember Jose Mari, Moreno, Comandini.... a lot of players had proved themself in their level's league, but lack of the big games' experience made them had a unhappy career in Milan...

That's exactly who he has always reminded me of! I watch Cagliari a lot because here in the states they show a Serie A match every Sunday morning on Fox Soccer Channel and it's usually either Cagliari or one of two or three other clubs. I saw him at least a dozen times this past year alone. He's lighting fast and very strong with good ball control and passing skills. And he's definitely proven he can score goals! Unless Milan could land Tevez or maybe one or two others I can think of, I think Suazo would be a great choice. And since he would come relatively cheap, the money could be used to build the rest of the squad.

i would view Suazo as a possible 3rd striker rather than a 4th... with Inzaghi & Amoroso likely to retire soon... that leaves only Gilardino for our future... with Vucinic & Suazo around... i do see a good run in the future...

I fully agree with that opinion. Suazo has great talent, self-cofidence, he trying to shoot hard ball, but he doesn't have an experience in CL, we should buy him to develop his talent. And we should buy another striker that is more experineced in European Cup's
