Seen as no one has opened this thread...

This game could be the first of several season defining games from here on out.

We take on Stade Rennais hoping to book a place in the final 16 of the Europa League.

One game at a time, one win at a time... We have try put league disappointment behind us and put this round in europe to bed!

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Florenzi, Kjaer, Gabbia, Theo Hernandez; Bennacer, Musah; Pulisic, Reijnders, Leao; Jovic.

Bench: Sportiello, Mirante, Nsiala, Thiaw, Bartesaghi, Terracciano, Adli, Loftus-Cheek, Eletu, Chukwueze, Okafor, Giroud.

Forza Milan ♥️🖤♥️🖤

We’re winning 3:0. There is nothing season defining about this. The dropped points at Monza were far more important. Resting players for Atalanta is far more important. This is the whole point going for the kill early, so that you can afford to rest players in the second leg. What Pioli has done is insane. Giroud is only getting rested because Jovic got sent off.

We should have kept going for wins in the league, hoping for Inter to slow down, and to make sure we keep our distance from 5th/6th place. Another January 2023 and we would be right back in the mix. The madness of the lineup at Monza was the sort of trigger that could bring us back to that mental space.

This game is not important. If we can’t hold on to a 3:0 lead against fucking Rennes, then we have way more problems that I thought.

I think this game is important... As long as we're still in the fight, EVERY game is important bro.

This game could be season defining...

A loss is season defining...

While we should ABSOLUTELY win this one, a Pioli and player brainfart, and our season could be effectively over... There is really no more 'win and move on' if we don't qualify tonight.

Let's not down play how important this game is I say.

Get the win, get it comfortably and move on to Atalanta, let's get some momentum again.

And yes Pioli is a fucking idiot... He made terrible decisions in the first leg and at Monza!!!

Let's get the W and move on... I want to visit Milan next month for a European tie, don't let me down guys.

I am quite excited about the Europa league this season. Given where we are in terms of rebuilding the squad and the overall quality of the management, coach and the squad, winning this tournament would be more than a validation that we are on the right path - which I believe we are albeit some hiccups along the way. I would rather win the Europa trophy than get kicked out of the last 16 of the CL - which is a likely scenario this season. In the end, people remember the trophies won, that 1st place, even if we are in a lesser European competition this time.

Of course, Serie A is definitely more prestigious as a title but winning the Europa with big dawgs like Liverpool and Bayer in it would give us great exposure in the global football community and help restore some part of our identity as European giants.

I only see 2 legit challengers, again they are Liverpool and Bayer. They have some major distraction that we do not, that is, they are still very much in the running for their respective league titles, while we could settle for 2nd or even 3rd in Serie A and reserve more energy for this tournament.

Forza Milan Per Sempre!!

So Leao felt something in his calf before Monza, and didn't start (according to Pioli himself). We then risked him anyway in the 2nd half after shitting the bed in the 1st. But worse yet, we're gonna make him play 3 days later in a game where we are 3-0 up on aggregate?

None of this makes any sense

It’s a good point and clearly a lie from Pioli. He thought his line up selection for Monza was good enough to win-he was wrong like most of the time

To be honest Rennes are nowhere near our level judging by the first leg about them-not to be too disrespectful but it was a stroll so I’m not expecting an upset tonight

Get out of the blocks early, be one or two up by HT and then make 5 subs. The game Sunday is more important than tonight.
