Seething after that, can Pioli do anything right? Absolutely disgusting tonight I know we went through but 2 horrible performances and losses going in shattered against Atalanta-raging again

RENNES PLAYED WELL TODAY. WE DID NOT, BUT THEY DID. THEY ARE 7TH PLACED IN BAGUETTE, BUT HAVE SOME INTERESTING PLAYERS. ACKNOWLEDGING THEM PLAYING A GOOD GAME BY THEIR STANDARDS ALMOST SCORING 4 ON US DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE A BETTER TEAM THAN THEIR CURRENT POSITION. SOMETIMES INFERIOR TEAMS DO BETTER THAN SUPERIOR ONES IN FOOTBALL, WITH OR WITHOUT A SUPERIOR COACH.

WE ARE STILL A BIGGER CLUB THAN RENNES AND SHOULD BEAT THEM. WE AREN'T HAPPY WITH NOT BEATING RENNES.
Is this you or Pioli. Genuine question.

They didn't dominate tho I don't understand where you're getting that from

They had 2 pens that came from a phantom foul and a tarded handball

They had a fkton of sterile possessions, they often overcommited without actually causing any trouble or pressure. Their attack was basically KPB as a team a lot of offensive actions without any actual efficiency random crosses and shots taken just to take them

They played like shit against a team that was too rigid to adapt and counter their shittiness
And with 15 minutes left you would expect a team of our stature to at least hold the ball and kill it

Park the bus and barely get over the half way line :head:

This is just common sense written in my sons voice.

We have gotten to a stage in this forum where if you utter perfectly respectable opinions you immediately have to answer to a map of understanding that your original opinion never intended to either challenge or refute. What I said in charicature doesn't absolve Pioli from his sins, nor the players, from producing garbage performances at an irritatingly irregular rate.

I think the tone and vibe here has degraded noticeably throughout this season, and even though we live and die by the team this isn't a positive for the pages. My row with Curupira is one thing and I stand by that, but there is a tendency now that trolling and a bullying sense of argument is what wins the day. Without blaming the aforementioned poster for that.

I'm just thinking out loud bro, think of it what you will. This place moves at its own pace and should, and the freedom with which it is allowed to move is a breath of fresh air - but I'm an entitled to an opinion, and I think everyone knows I just want this place at its best. If everyone manages to tone down the focus on narratives and make an effort to meet at the millstone(Milan lovedom) that unites us all instead of serial narratives that lead us to unnescessary toxic disagreements on a weekly basis. We'd be better off in our fellow addiction is my take.

How was the match?
Breathtaking and sensational final minutes. Full on defensive mode park the bus to defend the lead against Rennes. Waiting for the draw for the next round.

But we lost. I know but sssshhhhhh.

What matters is that we are through.

Beat Liverpool, save job, shut up haters so on and so forth. Have a good night and sweet dreams everyone.

I tend to think Rennes were on drugs after that performance

7 penalties conceded in last 9 games. In this true? Just lol
I had to double check that, because I couldn't believe it when I saw... And yes, it is true

How can our players be so stupid and undisciplined? Conceding 10 penalties, having like 7 red cards in 3/4 of the season... By the way, Mike saved none of that. He is one of the worst keepers when it comes to penalties.

Pioli is brain dead that's all there is to it. An arrogant prick.

And this team is built badly. Midfield has no core and Chukwueze is a joke... wtf

I don't think that's fair. I think he was very good but a victim of a defense like a prison line up - different every day from August-December.

He was a strong presence and made crucial saves on the average before Christmas. After the racism incident he has looked pathetic and people have been piling on.

I'm not saying you shouldn't hold him to an even higher standard than the fall, but he has had a significant decline after the incident that people tend to shoehorn into his every appearance this season.

I think he deserves criticism, but not like we're seeing at RnB.

I don't know what others have said, but I don't think it's unfair at all to say that he has been below average this season.
However I should specify that I'm mainly referring to shot-stopping.
The sweeping is still above average.

The racism incident clearly affected him during the Udinese game. He was making uncharacteristic mistakes. However he has been underwhelming since the injury, and mistakes or weak efforts have become characteristic at this point.
I remember even half-jokingly posting that they should bring on Mirante at some point.

Lack of back-line continuity? This is nothing new for him.
Even his handling of PKs have plummeted. He had the joint highest saves pct in 2015-2022.
Is that on the outfielders too?

I decided to look up stats, and they back it up.
Saving a lot less than expected.

Now compare that to his previous seasons.
The drop is massive.

With that said, I think he looked very focused and solid after the 2nd PK.
The time-wasting was pathetic though.
