Don't know if there is a thread that already exists, I apologize if there is. I was thinking of starting my own business. Not sure yet in what area but I wanted to pick any entreprenurs/business owners who are on this forum and wanted to share their ideas.

I am currently living in the united states midwest region. I have looked into mostly transportation businesses so far such as box trucks, freightliners, things of that nature.

I know there is a high probability that this doesn't even get a read but id appreciate any input or advice from fellow milanisitas.

I drink alright.. last time I went blind drunk was last September in Kaprun, Austria. As a business? Never..

Space travel probably costs too much and is complicated.. would like something simpler

On a more serious note, I believe that businesses in the field of renewable energy are successful now, as well as in the years to come.
Our planet is begging for natural sources of energy.

I started a business in this field. We applied for a grant from the government, won it and started making solar panels with some university colleagues. I hope that this will be the beginning of a successful business. But I'm telling you this because there's still plenty of room in the renewable energy market, especially since there's room for the technology to be improved.

also, one of the challenges business have is logistics from a delivery personnel standpoint… generally speaking, entry level staffing as a whole is a challenge

Investing in a call center for overflow calls

investing in a staffing agency for flex temp staffing for companies

those two things are in high demand for businesses


From a technology standpoint

one of you smart people need to design a CRM with predictive analytics that can

1. allow for a frictionless customer experience for new orders
2. manage the install base of customers to serve up a repurchase intent framework (intelligent outreach when someone will buy again) along with sentiment analysis


ive invested in a business in the auto repair industry that is doing that. it’s a huge gap for even established companies

I think this is a bad idea generally. Lot of money has been injected in last 6-7 years rarely makes money for the owner unless it’s a technological break through like mini nuclear reactor for every county which would make nuclear bombs easier. Then again people who start business has bigger balls and don’t listen to me like Mbs daddy Elon whose entire profit is from government handouts for Ev and spacex

In my opinion a fried chicken joint would have higher chance of survival which I would put at < 5%in Saudi

My opinion is look for automating old school industries but your country is heavily subsidized one benevolent move by your prince and you might be bankrupt. Good luck fellas entrepreneurs make our civilization go. Even if you lose it would be a great honor.

Kidding aside, i liked General's staffing agency suggestion. But I will add to that if you consider this direction, you'll need to align it to Saudi 2030 vision and focus on providing companies support with expats. Takes time off company hands and very helpful for the to-be expat to settle in.
