I'm not a fan of Ronaldo's but I'd like to see him win something with the national team. In my eyes he's not a GOAT contender, but I enjoy seeing players of his caliber doing well with their national teams. He's been playing sub par and his team is the weakest of the two, but either way I'm still going to respect and like the final result.

On one side there's a NT of old stars nearing retirement (Ronaldo, Nani, Quaresma, Moutinho, Alves, Carvalho, Patricio etc.) combined with a few young and promising players (Carvalho, Sanches etc.) and on the other a new international power full of young and impressive players and of players that are at their peak, playing their best football.

To be considered a GOAT contender, a player's style needs to entertain me in a certain way. I know that objectively he's on the list, but subjectively, I chose to put him in the honorary mentions section right next to Messi.
