Seeing Ronaldo act as a coach was the highlight of the game for me

But I don't know if it's that France choked or that Portugal did a good job of shutting them down.

One thing I will say is that Portugal won this tournament Italy style. I don't think anyone would argue that.

i expected more from them so i think they choked. at the very least they lost their fiery temperament that they opened the game with when ronaldo was subbed. not sure how that even works. on paper that sub was to their advantage. joao mario and carvalho was essential to the protection the midfield offered the portugal defense and so they were able to shut down france pretty effectively at times.

I know what you mean MB. Mascherano did the same thing with Argentina in 2014. He kept his teammates calm and focused BUT he put in a great performance in each match unlike Cristiano who was MIA in most of the matches.

I can confidently say Mascherano helped carry his team to the final but I can't do the same with Cristiano.
