The performance yesterday in the middle of Chievo, according to rumors gathered by the editors of "Tuttomercatoweb.com" , he believes the Rossoneri to focus on the central defender overcoming competition from Merda and Ladri.

Wednesday April 11 2012 Acerbi hopes for Milan call

Chievo stopper Francesco Acerbi has admitted he wouldn’t hesitate in accepting an offer from Milan.

The defender has been linked with the Diavolo who are believed to be assessing a summer bid for the player.

“I am certainly pleased to be hearing such rumours even if, for now, I’m only thinking of Chievo,” he said after last night’s 1-0 defeat to the San Siro giants.

“We’ll see what happens in June. However, I’m a Milan fan and I would immediately accept such a call. I wouldn’t have to think about it.”

The 24-year-old, formerly of Pavia, Renate and Spezia, joined Chievo in the summer from Reggina, via Genoa.

Chievo and Genoa currently co-own him.

i have the exact same feeling about this transfer if it does materialize. Paloschi, is quite a decent striker, but i think G likes maxi, so we will most probably sign him.

I dont mind giving up on Paloschi for Acerbi, Paloschi looked bad in all his games for us except his debut vs. Siena, he played well against us but that is because he wanted to prove a point, I dont think Paloschi is Milan quality, although I wouldnt mind giving him another chance, but Acerbi definitely is, ugly or not, he is a very good defender, I think he is better than Astori, he is more complete.

This guy actually knows how to control a football.. he has a great left foot, I think he even takes FKs for Chievo now, and is a danger on set pieces.. how is that a comparison to Bonera? just that he supports Milan? thats ridiculous because it automatically eliminates a huge percentage of potential players wanting to join us.
