when he was young they were saying he will probably be the next top 5 keeper in the world. Then he starting sucking big time, but as of late he has improved, only way this would be good is if we signed Scuffet and left him on loan at udinese for a couple of years while using Ochoa as a starter

Very underrated goal keeper single handedly kept ajjacio in league 1 last season and has dealt with zlatan and his crew very good the last tines they played.

On fifa i always buy him on career mode lol i know its just a game but hes a beast his only weakness are strong long shots like ronaldos shots but which goal keeper isnt lol i think in my opinion he would be perfect for us just like gio dos santos who could solve our right wing problem

Have any of you actually seen him play? Go watch you some highlights since im pretty sure youve never watch a game of his and i wasnt saying hell do good since hes good on fifa i was just throwing it out there he use to play for america which is the arch rivals of chivas del guadalajara ive watch him come up at coapa even though i never followed that team and when he plays for the national team you can really see what im saying but since he isnt from slovenia or joy rides cox i guess u wouldbt even be interested in even looking his way

All im saying is i know he is 3 times more than any keeper milan has at the moment and im sure hed be great with a top team where he can actually prove himself the guy is 28 and i bwt hed be ready to take on the challenge.. if u dont like him fine but i would love to see himplay for milan

As a mexican, i would love to see him play for milan, same as Gio. But I don't think it would happen, memo is stuck In that stupid team ajjaccio and other teams over look him . Hopefully he will shine in the wcup so he can go to a decent team. But I do hope to have Gio at milan, that kid is hungry !!

I have seen Ochoa play and most of the time he just goes for the photo. There is a reason why he has not been the starter for so long for his NT even though Mexico has hyped for long time as if he was Buffon or Schmeichel.

Gio hungry? Well he has always had problems with weight.

Now, the kid that plays as CB for Porto, I would not mind him a bit.

So it seems like the interest is real -
http://www.milannews.it/calciomerca...-squadra-c-a-anche-l-offerta-del-milan-142129 Ajaccio's president saying there is an offer

http://www.football-italia.net/47924/milan-have-made-ochoa-contact-agent
Ochoa's agent

I haven't seen too much of him, maybe 4 games or so, so I can't really comment.
A lot of people say that he was impressive as a youngster in America in Mexico, then he dropped his level and he became inconsistent since he moved to Europe. Some say hes too short, is poor with his feet and doesn't leave his line on corners.

I did some research and spoke to a few people who follow him regularly, and it seems like he has raised his level over the past 2 seasons and is finally playing up to his potential and performing.. All I knew about him is that hes very fast and has great reflexes, a funny afro and that hes Mexican :D Very likable and a perfect character for marketing purposes.
I've watched the PSG game last season and was impressed.

Since he is Mexican and quite popular this would be another nice marketing move after Honda.

So the opinions are mixed, can someone who regularly follows Ochoa (not in America, not vs PSG, but regularly) comment on how good he really is?
I know he isn't a starter for Mexico.

He is free and doesn't earn too much, so in that sense its a good option.
IMO he isn't the GK Milan need, i'd rather invest in Scuffet or Perin, but Ochoa would be a better option than Abbiati nevertheless.

http://www.milannews.it/calciomerca...e-un-bel-regalo-per-la-porta-rossonera-142139 - Pellegatti has a very positive opinion of him.

On Youtube, he obviously looks like the one of the world's best GK's (especially on those official Ligue 1 compilations) and gets shit loads of views :D
http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=ochoa
A lot of videos with saves are from past year or so, and then it goes back 4 or 5 years so maybe he really did start performing consistently in the last 2 seasons.

Oh and here's Ochoa himself commenting on it ESCLUSIVA TMW - Ochoa chiama il #Milan: "Giocarci sarebbe un sogno che si avvera" http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/seri...iocarci-sarebbe-un-sogno-che-si-avvera-547443

60 goals conceded in 32 league games. Only 2 clean sheets.
Thanks but no thanks.

That is the stupidest way of judging a GK. Ajaccio are the last team in Ligue 1, 20th place.

Well, if he conceded goals at a lesser rate maybe they wouldn't be last.

Come on, the only reason we're interested is because he's free.

I've watched him play before, a couple of years ago I would actually be for this signing but this kid has gotten nowhere in terms of progression last couple of years. He has HL saves but that's only because he has crap positioning and has to depend on his reflexes. Keep away.

I have seen Ochoa play and most of the time he just goes for the photo. There is a reason why he has not been the starter for so long for his NT even though Mexico has hyped for long time as if he was Buffon or Schmeichel.

Thank you. I agree 100%. He makes saves more difficult than they have to be and in all honesty is a really poor keeper at this stage in his career. If he was here as a back-up, maybe. But I doubt it.

he said will not move from france and want to remain in ajaccio .

Good stay there.

Signing this guy would just be repeating our mistakes: signing players because they are free. Guess what nobody will want this guy once he is 30 (he is 28 turning 29 in July).

Is Ochoa non-EU?

Maybe that's a reason why Milan didn't go for him...
