Easily one of the worst crossers you can witness all over Europe's top leagues.

I'm sure Bonera is better right back than this clown. Absolutely horrific performance lately and yes I'm on bitching spree here. Ship his ass of to Torino for Ogbonna and buy PROPER right back after 10 years of having these amateurs trying to replace Cafu.

Don't blame Abate if his cross is too high, he is trying to cross to Antonini.
Don't blame also if his cross is out, he try to give the ball to spectators in the tribune...

Abate had more awesome last season.

This season has been a halt in growth, possibly a recession but im sure he'll kick ass next season

When you see Bayern and their fullbacks, you realize how ours are mediocre.I dream and pray that some day we will have something of Bayern calibre fullbacks. Maldini & Cafu seems to me like we had them century ago.By the way Alaba is 19:fp: and Bayern is set for next decade in that position.

this alaba is better than that overrated alba. Too bad our yoth systemis mediocre ever, wish we had someone like alaba in our squad. Oh well, at least we have the urbanator now. Hopefully he will establish himself as a starter for the leftback or Lcm position, unless ofcourse we get someone better. HE has made massive improvements this season, abate on the other hand has been pathetic. He was good last season though, so maybe he will improve considering he is only 25 anyway.

RIP Totti
Alaba is quite possibly one of the best LBs in the world already at the age of 19

I mean who would you put above him, LB quality has really dropped last 5/10 years

Not many others stand out at LB, maybe Marcelo or Evra, but Alaba is amazing for a 19 y/o

he is going to be massive

Abate is a puzzle for me... I like the effort and improvement he made over the last few years.. but he will never be a great FB because he doesnt have the character for it. He chokes on big occasions (Milito goal in last derby  ) and his crossing is simply horrible... the only read good thing he does is that he covers well because of his speed and tackles well but aside from that he is just mediocre.

Actually, while I agree with you that he is not good (terrible) crossing the ball; there is also nobody with the exception of Pato who goes toward the ball in crosses. I still think that Abate made great strides as a RB, unfortunately he is attacking deficient plus the thing that worrry me the most about him is that he takes too long to come back from the attacking position.

As I said before, he seems more natural to me as a midfielder (CM) because he makes good passes horizontally and vertically (Super Cup) and short passing plus he does not try to make the wrong thing when pressured (Like MvB). I think he should fight the position with Muntari which I think should be play in case of being taken.

Buy full rights of Darmian from Palermo & call him back from Torino while loaning them De Sciglio & give them Coppola too.

Cheap deal! :g:

Terrible second half of the season, looked unfit for most part of it and out of focus the times he played, "atarantado" (dunno its translation) would be the best word to describe him this second half of the season. Though still not an issue imo.
