Milan change gear with Honda​

Milan’s transfer campaign has taken an unexpected turn after they were linked with Japan’s Keisuke Honda.

The 24-year-old currently plays his football in Russia with CSKA Moscow but is reportedly looking for a transfer.

Milan are understood to have been impressed with the midfielder’s performances at the World Cup and are assessing a bid.

Honda, born in Settsu, began his career in his homeland with Nagoya before moving to Europe in January 2008 with Dutch side Venlo.

He later moved on to CSKA where he has gained international experience by playing in the Champions League.

Milan are now in a position to make a bid given that they have a free non-EU place in their squad after Nelson Dida’s exit.

Honda is a talented player. He's worth the amount CSKA paid for him. I don't think we should spend as much money on him as CSKA will demand. He's not that good.
