he is a good player, its undenable, its just that Serie A is very phisical while liga isnt much...cicinho would need an intense physical training so he can perform at full power and some time to adapt....well anyway i think we are just dreaming guys, i dont see madrid lettin him go away

Marquez "I Want To Hang Up My Boots In Barcelona" Barcelona defender Rafael Marquez has dismissed reports linking him with a move to Milan, and insisted that he wishes to retire in Barcelona.



The Mexican international's contract runs out in June 2007. Even though there have been negotiations between him and the club, some differences are said to persist, apparently because Barcelona are reluctant to raise his salary into the top bracket.

Among those monitoring the situation closely are Milan, after having failed to net Gallas from Chelsea.

Marquez has himself been quoted as saying that Serie A and Milan interest him, when questioned about the Rossoneri's interest in the past.

This time, however, similar questions have been met with an emphatic response.

"I want to hang up my boots in Barcelona," said the Mexican.

"There are no problems with the renewal of my contract with Barcelona. In fact, everything has almost been sorted, and the only thing lacking is the signature. I am very happy in Barcelona, and will continue playing in the Nou Camp."

He also went on to clarify his earlier remarks regarding Serie A and Milan. "Among many other things, what I said was that I like Serie A, and also Milan. But I was quoted out of context, because I also said that I am very happy in Barcelona."

Since Barcelona have just signed Zambrotta and Thuram, he would be definetly be available because he won't be in the starting eleven now for sure !!! and which player wouldn't want to play for Milan !!!

By the way, Marquez plays as a DM in Barca, Zambrotta is LB or RB, Thuram is CB, so he will be still in the starting 11.

Barcelona stopper Rafael Marquez has revealed that he would consider a move to the Rossoneri.
