well, MassterMark is gone. I know you are all thinking "stupid jasper, slow adult as usual" but the masster probably deserved his ban... he was abrasive, arrogant, rassicistic, and border line psychotic but he had some damn good formations...

so as a tribute to our fallen friend; a man who was never appreciated in his own time; i present this thread... lke the semicolons kuj?

i'll start with my personal favorite...

------------------------??----------------------

(Oddo??)-------Nesta------Sheva-----Zambrotta

----------Flamini-----Pirlo-----Seedorf----------

---------Kaka------Pato------Ronaldinho--------

, for deep attack^^

it was about to go in the discussion forum but the ban hammers are very active these days

Art always suffers under dictatorship.

I seem to remember a formation involving one player (I think either Gourcuff or Hernanes) "rotating". That was pretty fucking innovative. Although asking a player to spin around on the spot in the centre circle is possibly more to do with man-management than tactics.

Boriello's workrate on the right side will compensate for seedorf with overlapping runs. Ronaldinho's endless crosses from deep. Flamini somehow in a more advanced position than both to press. Unstoppable

after madrid's embarrassing defeat, in their next match we may very well see ronaldo spinning himself so dizzy he pukes, defender will slip on said vomit, and benzema will slot home an easy goal..

mou will be praised as a genius while masster was shunned for his wild ideas. it's a travesty in every sense of the word.

clearly a winner. you didnt mention the enlightened use of zambro as a CB... alas masster's tactical genius eclipses my own as i can't seem to figure it out

that's my problem. clearly this is not a deep attack formation, but i have no doubt there's some sort of brilliant tactical reason for zambro at CB... i just cant crack the code.. my only thought is the unprecedented center back double overlap... utterly devastating attack from the left side

i'm sure in 20 years we'll understand when we see every team playing a past it wing back in the center

Burst out laughing and everyone around me is looking at me now. In the office.

Seriously, how could you all ban him? Amazing entertainment value.

could the deep attack me to use zambrottas crossing abilities when he overlaps to get ball out wide to overlapping runs of borriello and ronaldinho who will intern cross it back to sheva, pato or even seedorf/flamini on far posts?!

so much tactical innovation.

my god. cb double overlap into a dinho diagonal cross into a pato headed layoff into a sheva chested setup for a pirlo chip into a kaka scissor for the goal.

From Drogba and Nesta to Kaká and Ronaldinho, every player was left out at some point in the Masster formation's. But look at the right side of the midfield... There was an incontestable first team player here in every formation - yeah, Flamini.

man love...

Ahahah :star:

Even right wing in a frontline that consisted of Pato, Kaka and Seedorf. Commitment.

Wow, I'm amazed at three things:

1) His love for Senderos  Never in my wildest dreams I would've had Masster rate a player like Senderos.
2) Andrea Pirlo in all these formations, starting non the less? I'm genuinly shocked. This was only two years ago.
3) That 3-2-3-2 formation is totally visionary, genius I might add  I mean, Antonini at CB, I can't think of any reason that WOULDN'T work. Allegri: take notes on this pall!

That's a great thread, Masster always had his own formations, most of us maybe didn't agree with him on that topic, but it was always funny to read them :D
He had his love for youngsters, but also posted good formations with our actual players. I'm not at all surprised to see Flamini in there every time, but it's a surprise to see Pirlo in his eleven

What got me the most with masster aint his formation but the little lightbulbs and hilarious post titles he tend to use like:

OMG i think i got it!

or

Just solved all our problem

........

And than a mixture of primavera kids and 1st team players with a bench containing the likes of Fabregas, Drogba or something below.

Pretty hilarious stuff. FUUUUUUU mods and B&G:mad::mad::mad:
