I’m still seething about those penalties. It feels like Giroud has hit the ball with that same technique before and missed. Theo’s you can semi forgive as he smashes it in the corner and hits the post but Giroud’s is unforgivable. If you are missing a pen when it’s pee rollered like that and it’s not smashed hard and low or high in a corner the fans have every right to show u their wrath. It’s unacceptable. Why does it always feel our player stepping up will miss a pen yet the opposition taking one always seems to go in?

Giroud penalties are bad imo. They are soft and way too close to the middle, which makes it easy for the GK to save if they pick the right side. I prefer if we had someone that could shoot really hard, like how young Ibra did (always picked the left corner but since he shot it so hard, no GK could save it anyway) or Kessie looking straight at the keeping while shooting.

Eh he saved Kvara's pen against napoli QF CL...effectively sealing the semi spot for us.

Maignan is not a bad penalty saver.

I do not trust Giroud with penalties tbh.

Terracciano played as a mid before, he needs to be able to handle this, especially since we got him precisely because he is an allrounder.

Or pioli threw him into the fray too early?

Considering adli was cooked for a full year, Kalulu for several months, primavera kids were introduced for a game or two and then disappeared from the roster

Otherwise every player who comes from the same league will be expected to perform after a week of integration

So bad call by padre more than blaming a kid for making a mistake

Iono, if Pioli keeps this whole “free range” philosophy when it comes to players, I think Zirkzee seems like the type that’s smart to get his teammates involved.

I was impressed with how he constantly made our CB chase him around and made himself a nuisance overall
