We are still seeking after our 1st win, 3 matches : 2 loose and 1 draw, if we will get relegated the project will close its door, I think it's time to consider an appropriate coach to lead our U23, Bonera seems lost and arguably not fitting for this role.

And you other members what's your thought? Share it in MILAN FUTURO TOPIC 🧑‍🏫

They need to get together, and improve, after the investments and many new players, most of them never played at a professional level... it will take time, Bonera better not fuck this up.

Yeah, but we can't wait til January, the breakthrough has to happen sooner, otherwise Serie D relegation will close the U23 door.

Agree, though having in mind the quality of the other teams and the fact that there are also relegation playoffs I guess they will manage.
If they get relegated from Serie C it will be a massive flop on all levels

Finally! How was the performance?

They have dominated their opponents, the spal goal was a goal blunder

Enjoy the highlight below

I thing we should strengthen the midfield, not enough tough, many hole in the middle, or switch to 3 MC, to bring more compactness.

I don't know if already posted, last week FIGC decided that second teams can be relegated (i.e. no cataclysm in case of relegation to serie D)

Game today 15 CET against Pianese, who have the same amount of points as us (6).

I expected us to struggle for the 1st part of the season. The difference in quality between the Primavera and Serie C is evident to see and I think it'll take time for our players to get up to speed.

With that said, I watched the game vs SPAL and we were by far the better team technically. Few things that "stood out"..
-Zeroli doesn't seem anything special on the ball. He struggles in tight areas and makes a lot of technical mistakes. He works very hard though and covers a ton of ground. He needs to develop his game on the ball.
-Good to see Coubis back. But what a difference this league is physically. I've watched Coubis with the Primavera and he looked like a giant. Here, he's no bigger than most players and looks normal.
-Vos does a lot of running but we don't get him the ball much. It was hard to tell what he can do. I felt like we just bypassed him and went wide most the time.
-Cuenca is a good talent. Makes silly mistakes and at times overdoes it on the dribble. But I can see him being one to go on a Serie B/A loan initially where he does ok and then probably sold for some good cash.

Today with a sad hearts 😔, I inform you that we recieved our 4 defeat, below I break down the facts, my thought and the highlight :

-MILAN FUTURO(4-2-3-1) : Nava ; D'Alessio, Coubis, Minotti, Bozzolan ; Sandri, Hodzic ; Cuenca, Libéraux, Traoré ; Turc.
Bench Mastrantonio, Bartesaghi, Malaspina, Longo, Alesi, Fall, Sia, Bakoune, Zukic.

-PIANESE (3-4-2-1) : Boers ; Chesti, Pacciardi, Polidori ; Nicoli, Proietto, Simeoni, Boccadamo ; Mastropietro, Colombo ; Mignani.
Bench: Filippis, Odjer, Papini, Spinosa, Indragoli, Sorrentino, Falleni, Capanni.

Facts: red cards for both Coubis & Minotti

Report cards:

*NAVA* 8.5: super performance by the Rossoneri goalkeeper, despite reduced to 10 beacause of a red card makes two beautiful saves. Also in the second half, with the Rossoneri behind, he makes a miracle on Mignani and a great save on Falleni. He receives an ungenerous yellow for wasting time. The icing on the cake is the penalty saved from Odjer that keeps Milan alive until the end, despite being two goals down.

*D'ALESSIO* 5.5 : forced to stay in his position. In the first half he suffered with the duels against Nicoli

*COUBIS* 4: Nightmare afternoon for the Rossoneri centre-back who after 5 minutes loose his intentions, leaving the opponent alone ,which forced him to make a very naive l foul. The referee waves him a red card and his match ends immediately, condemning the Rossoneri to a game of suffering

*MINOTTI* 7: courageous performance by the Rossoneri centre-back, deprived of his teammate at the start of the match, stay foxused and leads the Rossoneri defence with courage and punctuality as long as he can. Heroic save almost on the line at the end of the first half. The referee whistles a questionable penalty against him, that lead him to lose his head, ending un in getting a red card.

*BOZZOLAN* 5.5: on his side he finds himself facing a Boccadamo who is having a great, putting him in difficulty more than once. After the disadvantage with the opponents dropping back, Milan often attacks from his side but without success

*SANDRI* 6: he runs a lot and works hard. Coubis' expulsion forces him to sacriface for the team

*HODZIC* 6: He influenced his game with the yellow card and risked the second a few minutes later. For the rest of the first half he remained disciplined and formed a solid screen in front of the defense with Sandri. Substituted at half-time due to the pending warning

*MALASPINA* 6: Enters at the start of the second half in a difficult situation, starts to clear the ground with his usual generosity in the middle of the field

*CUENCA* 6.5: up front he is the most dangerous man for the Rossoneri during the first half and that is no small feat given the numerical inferiority. Every time he receives the ball he outpaced the opponent, though he lacks the spark to make an assist/goal. In the second half he quickly runs out of gas and is replaced after a quarter of an hour

*SIA* 5.5 : Enter at 60' as with all the new Rossoneri players, it's not easy. He remains out of the Rossoneri's play even when Milan tries an impossible push towards the end of the match.

*LIBERALI* : his match ends before it even begins, after 10 minutes Bonera replaces him to bring on Bartesaghi after Coubis' expulsion. Unlucky.

*BARTESAGHI* 6.5: very solid performance from the number 4 of the Rossoneri who enters cold but does not lose his composure and reacts well to the offensive gusts of the Tuscan team. Not always precise in the build-up phase but a more than sufficient match

*TRAORE* 5.5 : he fails, like Cuenca, to find his own way despite the numerical inferiority and often remains little involved in the construction of the game. In the second half he defended more than he had attacked, thats why the winger didnt create any goal scoring opportunity

*TURCO* 5.5: he struggles a lot, often alone, against tenacious and unfriendly opponents, for this he must be given credit. However, he has two important goal-scoring opportunities, but failed to turn them into a Rete

*FALL* 5.5: Got on the pitch at half-time as winger, then moves forward after the disadvantage. He fails to exploit his size and physicality in the desperate attempt of a comeback by the Rossoneri

*BONERA*6: he ends up with ten men after five minutes but his team doesn't lose its composure, indeed it remains very disciplined on a tactical level and also in terms of character, though we should seriously evaluating other candidate to lead our U23🤔

And you other members, you're feedback is appreciated here LIBERA LA TUA CONSULENZA 🤗

From what I've watched so far, we seem to be technically superior to most opponents. But physically and mentally, the group is struggling.

But, i get that this is about player development and I think that's exactly what we are witnessing. I expect the spring season will be much better. We just hopefully won't be too far away from safety by then. This team needs to stay in Serie C and not get relegated.

Do we know why Vos wasn't in the squad today? Or Camarda?

Vos didn't recover yet from an injury

Camarda called up in the 1st team.

What about Magni he seems very interesting, though been a while since we saw him?

What do you think of Hodzic? When I saw his highlight reel when we signed him - he looked impressive.
I thought there was a chance he could come in this season, given it seems he's exactly what we are missing.

Is he good enough to play the DM role immediately? Strengths and weaknesses?
Who do you think is the most likely to find space in the team this season?

To be honest, I don't have any glue, but you triggered my interest on him, I will moniter him closely next time, one thing for sure he has powerful shot.
