Milan have joined the race to sign Lyon powerhouse Mahamadou Diarra in the summer.
skysports.com

The highly-rated Mali midfielder is a strong candidate to join Manchester United but other European big guns such as Arsenal and Real Madrid are also admirers of his qualities.

Milan general director Ariedo Braida was at Stade Gerland to see the clash against Bordeaux recently and saw 'Djila' produce another all-action display.

Diarra is believed to favour a move to England but there will need to be plenty of discussion before he is allowed to leave the French champions.

The African ace is under contract until 2009 and will only talk about his future with l'OL officials at the end of the campaign.

We are sellig Vogel and buying Diarra. Diarra is my PICK for a STRONG MIDFIELDER. I think if we get him he will definetely pass Pirlos position. Not cos he is better , only cos he can RUN and is much STRONGER and can hold 90min for a WHOLE SEASON. Thats what we need in the midfield !!!

Yupe and that would also help our defence. However, i think we would face strong competition from the likes of Man Utd, Arsenal, Madrid, Chelsky, etc. I hope we do sign him along with Cris (if Cris is as good as they say he is). :)

Milan Derby For Diarra?

Milan are set to enter the race with Inter to sign Lyon star Mahamadou Diarra, according to Italian daily **********.

The highly-rated Mali international has been a major contributor to the French club’s recent success but is hotly tipped to move on in the summer.

The Nerazzurri’s interest in the player is no secret but it now appears that Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti is also a keen admirer.

Manchester United are also likely to provide competition to the Milan giants come the summer.

Don't know what to say, I never watched him play. If we sell Vogel + start to rotate players, then I guess it would a good acquisition.
