True elite players, especially forwards are selfish when they play. They will shoot firsthand, as if they plan it in their head before they get the ball, unless it's really obvious that a pass is better. Leao this season, looks like he is looking for the assist first hand...playing that supporting role instead of looking for the goal for himself. I really dislike this change, he seemed way more selfish the previous two seasons.

Very tough intense game. A valuable 3 points, solid performances although I wish Leao was sharper in his shooting and more ruthless when in good positions to score otherwise great game. Adli is really growing into the team dynamic - imagine if Pioli had given him opportunity to do this much earlier, better late than never I guess. A well earned 3 points.

You aren’t wrong. But those types of “bad decisions” are what the MBappes and Viniciuses make regularly. They should pass it more than they should shoot… but because they have a good chance of scoring, they take it and you’re banking on them to make it.

That requires the confidence that Leao simply doesn’t have right now. Pioli has let this get out of hand. There are so many situations that he just doesn’t address. I hope Rafa’s dad helps him get back on track.
