Good win, a well earned goal and solid performance from Adli, he made several key interceptions too, an absolute rocket from Theo and a well placed header from OG.
Isn’t amazing the effect of two effective passing players in midfield Adli and Reijnders were decisive in Milan’s build up and distribution of the play.
Now the question remains will Pioli learn from what he has witnessed tonight ?

first thing i noticed on this replay is how we manage to find space in the middle, tij running right down it, defender closes down leaving giroud space and RLC doesnt even look towards it just stares down at the ball and dribbles to the side

What a performance from Adli. 10/10 display. He was everywhere to win the ball, everywhere to give an option to his teammates and everywhere to collect loose balls. Magnificent technique in everything he does. The goal he scored was of the utmost elegance. I was amazed by the way he showed such composure and poise to finish that move and score with aplomb. That was the best display of any Milan player in the last two seasons.
He chose to stay and fight for the badge when he was told that he was surplus to requirements. It’s just another indictment on Pioli’s lack of knowledge of the beautiful game. When you have a zidane regen in your squad, you do everything in your power to safeguard him and build up his confidence, not do the opposite. Pioli will take all the credit for this match but it was the result of Adli’s tireless effort. Yacine has the engine of Ji-Sung Park, the technique of Zinedine Zidane, the intelligence of Xavi, the poise of Andrea Pirlo, the passing range of Xabi Alonso, the tackling of Claude Makelele and the shot power of Clarence Seedorf.
All of Giroud’s flicks came off today. The backheel to pulisic was exquisite and the nutmeg pass to Theo with his back to goal was the cherry on top.
Gabbia had an amazing match. He kept up with the physical intensity of Lukaku and didn’t allow himself to be dominated like Romagnoli would have today. Also, a few very impressive steps to catch a runner offside. Terrific.
Calabria can’t suppress his bozo gene. He will play well the entire match and then do something ridiculous. There was no threat from pellegrini, no reason for him to make that reckless decision. The club needs a long term replacement for him.
Leao with another dismal performance. He just doesn’t improve. He has plateaued. That’s the case with players who are gifted with an abundance of physical attributes but with little actual technical ability to show for it.
Adli is a one of a kind player. Magisterial, audacious at times, yet classy as ever. There aren’t enough superlatives to describe his ability and character. A true champion who I hope becomes a senatore at the club I love.

This season we played our best football when Adli and Reijnders was on the pitch at the same time. Once again amazing performance from both, they have a great connection. Gabbia-Kjaer was rock solid all match long, they didn't even let Voodoo Donkey sniff the ball. Giroud was great today, his linkup play was probably the best this season, even apart from that Theo assist, he connected well with others today. Leao, RLC, and Calabria had a bit of an off day, but the rest of the team was so good we dominated easily.
I really hope after Bennacer is back, Adli won't be put back to the shadow realm. Adli needs to play, he is a great player, so happy for his goal, and overall performance today. It is genuinely mind blowing to me that Krunic and Pobega was ahead of him in the pecking order.
