Usyk is underrated himself. He is an AtG too. Man I don't see him beating big foreman. Foreman is way too durable. He hits too hard. I have videos of him destroying some real heavy boxing bags without his gloves lol. When he hits people, they get sent to another dimension. Life ending power. He can take hits all day.
But weirdly I feel he is a bad match up for chinny Lennox.
I think young foreman he can handle similar to wilder who I find extremely overated. Old foreman he'd probably lose against. I like foreman a lot, weird that he'd look small next to these modern heavyweights. Young foreman only weighed 215ish. Fury is like 275

Usyk will be a hof, such a nice style. Fury knew he'd be outclassed. Loma and usyk are on that other plane of boxing existence. All young fighters going to mimic them.

You mentioned bivol before, he's also crisp. Spitting imagine of the former Soviet model. Canelo was too inflated in the head, but gotta give him credit for going up that much weight.

That's true. Lol forget Gaetje, look at chandler lol. Wtf. He fights like an absolute idiot. Moronic fighter. He has all the tools to win many of the fights he lost. If he just fought smart he could have actually beaten poirier and probably even Oliviera. Not sure why he always lunges in to throw bombs. Maybe the height issue but still his poor fight is cost him so many fights.

Islam said it best himself. This guy crazy brotha. Chandler fight stupid lol.
but fans love these type of fighters tho. from a business pov, they are doing everything right.
gaethje and chandler are both very good wrestlers but prefer to brawl in every fight, therefore someone like belal with his heavy wrestling approach is so unpopular among fans.
both are better paid and have earned more money in their careers. chandler will probably be rewarded with a fight against conor and will be able to retire without any financial concerns.

Marciano vs fury would be a funny matchup. Rocky ducks down so low that he'd be able to walk under fury's legs. Realistically I'd imagine that rocky is too small similar with Frazier. But idk rocky trained on a 300lb bag lol. Certainly would be a circus matchup
Man Marciano is ab absolute tank. A unit. Yea rocky is a beast. I will never count him out.
Iron chin. Incredible cardio. Hits like a mule.

If he can dodge upper cuts, he could honestly make it hard for fury.

I respect Canelo. He tried. Size wasn't the issue. Skill was. Bivol is just a better fighter. Bivol is a beast.
Yes usyk is incredible. He is not big at all. Only 215-220 iirc.
George may have been only 220 lol when he was young but he was built like a Greek God. Had muscle popping out of every cell in his body.
If he carried the body fat fury does, he would have been 245 250.

True. Very true. Sadly it's about entertainment in the end.

I have boxing ring mags from late 40s through 50s from my grandfather in mostly rough but readable condition. We used to talk about Marciano often as Italian americans. My grandfather had a procard and was apparently 4-0 before wwII started though as the story goes, he jumped off a highdive incorrectly and blew out his eardrum so the doctors took his card away. Because of this he couldn't join the war with his brothers as well. Ended up building p51 engines at Curtiss wright and later saber jet engines. Met Jimmy Braddock during the Verazano bridge construction and hadn't known until later that he met one of his idols. A man ran up to him and said "hey thanks for helping Jimmy out!" My grandfather asked "Jimmy?", Guy replied " yeah Jimmy Braddock!' Leaving my grandfather dumbfounded.

My grandfather grew up in Paterson, and I now live next pompton lakes nj were lots of former pros had training camps before fighting at msg. Sugar ray robinson and many others. I always wanted to check out Costello's boxing gym in Paterson. One of the few real boxing gyms around the area. Everything else is cardio boxing bologna.

I'll dig up the mags later when I get home and post some photos. I've been wanting to read through them all chronologically.

Yea do post them. Would have loved to watch a mutant like marciano fight live. What a godly fighter he was. Heard he used to train for 7 to 8 hours a day 5 days a week. His cardiovascular system is possibly the greatest ever in history. Never gets tired. His intensity, power, aggression, steel chin and gas tank made him a complete fighter. Very few would get the better of him amongst ATGs. He is a rough matchup for ali tbh. His only issue would be his weight vs guys like fury, foreman and Lennox. Probably bowe too if he is in shape. His iron chin should help him vs all of them though.

Modern day he'd be a cruiserweight. But yeah he also didn't care where he hit. Every punch was as hard as he could and he could for 15 rounds. You could block but he'd just batter your arms until you couldn't hold them up. Then comes the Suzy Q and lights out for you.

Even the mob didn't get their hooks into rocky. They recognized how beneficial he was for Italian americans who at the time were still very discriminated against in usa so they were happy to leave him alone.

As far as the mob goes I always liked Carmen Basilio who told them to pound salt when they tried to control him.

I've great appreciation for Japanese fans who have respect for the ground game. The casual american ufc fan has no patience or appreciation for technique and only watch to appease the just bleed gods. Pride days were infinitely better than ufc

I think he will do just fine at heavyweight. Who is going to touch him now?
Aj lmao. No way.
He kos wilder
Wilder ain't doing shit to an iron chinned rocky

Tough fight would be usyk and fury.
Size difference isn't much vs usyk but it's a fair amount next to fury.
Fury does carry a lot of fat however. I think it's an even fight. Rocky isn't afraid of anyone.

I'd like to believe so but rocky at most weighed 190 and I have bias towards him. AJ is definitely too soft no doubt haha.

Rocky usyk is a dream fight, if rocky wins I imagine it would be similar to against Walcott. Walcott today is billed as old to lessen the greatness of rocky, but at the time was heavily favored against him. He was too fast, too slick, too elusive...wed see the same with usyk. Rocky always found a way though.

Re boring boxers / fighters in general:

I was in a sport where I was at the risk of getting hit in the head, I think I'd be the most boring fighter on earth. It's the smartest thing to do. You do what you love at the lowest possible risk.

Don't be a Justin Gaethje  that mf gonna have a hard time when he gets older.
Are you a spectator or these fighter’s mom?

Look at how GSP fought before Serra fight and after. Dudes on JRE talking about being abducted by aliens.

That's funny 😂

But I don't remember GSP ever taking a lot of shots. Strange.
He didn't. That's whats so scary about CTE.

Off of the top of my head I only remember him getting hit by a couple of big shots from Matt Serra and some shots from BJ before he took him down. Dominated almost rest of his fights.

I have about 30 in total maybe more. The earliest being the Willie pep one from July 1949. These are some of the ones in decent condition. Eventually I'll make my way through them and can snap photos of some of the more interesting articles if anyone would like to see. Or I can look for something specific as well.

Condit head kick. Hendricks fight where he took a lot of shots. Jake shields threw some shots but his punches probably felt like pillows

Oh right he got rocked hard in the Hendricks fight. Hendricks, I completely forgot about that guy even though I trained with him once
Yea. I still thought gsp just about edged that fight. Very very close fight.
Hendricks in his prime was a monster. He would have given even Paulo Costa a good fight. Good close fight. The Hendricks Costa fought was 10% of what he used to be. Just used Costa as an example because Hendricks was a sacrificial lamb for that bout due to his big name.
