After Tuesday’s match against Barcelona at the San Siro, Ignazio Abate reached the milestone of 300 appearances as a professional player.

Milan, Napoli, Piacenza, Modena, Empoli and Torino are the teams that have availaved of his services. 170 matches in Serie A, 51 in B, 29 in C-1/I divisione, 15 in coppa Italia, 30 in Europe and 5 in other tournaments. The full back has also hit the back of the net 7 times in his career, 3 goals in Serie A (the last on 25 September against Bologna) 1 in B, 2 in C-1/I divisione and another in the Coppa Italia.
Abate won the league title with Milan in 2010/2011 and the Supercup in 2011.
He made his debut on 3 December 2003 in the Coppa Italia match between Sampdoria and Milan which ended 1-0 for the Rossoneri.
