Out for a walk.
Getting his tactics wrong or not, Pioli might have buried himself with his post-game comments. Not apologizing for losing 5-1 is embarrassing. If he doesn't take the blame, the players have to. And depending on whether our guys pick up on this, relationships may tank as a result. Rightly so. Hopefully this game serves as an Atalanta-like drubbing, waking us the fuck up. Given Pioli's comments, however, I'm not hopeful.

Some statistics for you all. Hopefully I've sorted this correctly. Pioli's record with us against Printer is as follows:

3W, 2D, 9L, 13 GF/29GA, -16GD

We've also lost 5 in a row, since last season. The stats for these games are as follows:

0W, 0D, 5L, 1GF, 12GA, -11GD

Pioli's done very well against Juventus, Roma, Lazio, and Atalanta, but we can't be this consistently bad against our biggest rival. Pioli's lucky that we likely won't play our little brothers until the end of April. Hopefully we look good by then. If our season's gone off the rails, then Pioli won't be the manager leading us out at the end of the season. I just worry about who may instead.

Let’s be honest, even if he apologized, a lot of people would still be like:

Season is long, this is just a minor setback for the objective. Of course, if this affects our form and it sets off another slump like January, especially if we don’t get results in CL, I could see him sacked.

But if we carry on taking care of business in the league and he gets at least 4 points in the first 2 CL games, it will be life goes on for the management.

Like someone else said, losing Inter is just 3 points. Hurts, but that’s da plan

If he apologised or if he didn't people here would criticise him.

He apologises and people call him weak, he doesn't and people call him an arrogant jackass.

He should have apologised imo but he was damned here regardless.

He doesn't have to apologise but he also should not answer these questions with delusional statements.

Fuck Pioli I hate him so much right now

Yeah but this time around you don't have Zlatan to give you the slap you needed, it is dinosaur Pioli.

The only acceptable apology would be a letter of resignation, now while there’s still time to have a successful season.

This is just the first in another season long series of fuck ups, that he is famous for.

Pioli saying that we do need to do better after been in charge for three seasons is hilarious.

LMAO look at these clueless so called meelanista trashing on our best coach in our recent history. Without him, there wouldn't have been a scudetto, there wouldn't have been a sale, Milan would have been sinking like Atalanta right now. But this is what these ungrateful bitches give him in return. Why? Because they think the squad is so so good and all it took to run all over Inter was some small tactical tweaks, they are scared to face the fact that the squad is overrated and badly built, retards.

Now let's talk tactics idiots. Pioli did nothing wrong with his choice of approach. Control and Attack had been working very well for us up to that point, why would you retards want to change that? That was literally our strength. You think he could simply tell the team to sit back and they would carry out the gameplan decently without any extensive training? How stupid would you need to be to think in such way? And why do you stupid shits think we could have defended well with Calabria Kalulu Tomori Thiaw Theo and Krunic CDM backline? They are simply bad defenders, and you want us to play most of the game between these weak links? WTF?
But but but counter attack... fuck off, who would be initiating these so called counter attacks from our team? Inter would just have someone to man mark Leao and any rushed long ball/clearance by our backline would be intercepted before it would reach the target. Leao would be marked out of the game and Giroud would be just a ghost on the field by himself.
Let's get real, Inter didn't lack firepower and our defense would have collapsed within 30 minutes had we chosen a defensive approach. We had to play with our biggest strength and attack them hard, and if it didn't work, nothing else would work, simple as that.

Pioli isn't perfect, but this squad is simply not good enough, they will struggle to reach top 4, let alone winning the Scudetto and only imbeciles like @Samaldinho would think otherwise. Backline of Calabria Tomori Kalulu Thiaw Kjaer, Krunic starting midfielder, 37 year old Giroud starting target man. Then discount McKennie and black Castillejo on the bench. LMAO. This is what you idiots call quality? Give me a fucking break.

Sack Pioli all you want, I respect him but never rated him anyway. But be prepared for what will come next, because the next coach will at most be marginally better with this squad.

Comparing Pioli to Carlo is next level of delusion.
:proud:

I am sure Cardinal feels the same way after splashing 100m+ on transfers and being humiliated my Inter

Carlo was underachieving in Serie A no doubt about it. But Serie A back then and what is it now are two different things entirely.

Pioli helped us win a Scudetto and I thank him for it, but it dates back to May of 2022 which was the last time we played consistently acceptable football. Since then it’s been an absolute roller coaster ride with a few highs and very many lows.

The CL campaign papered over a lot of cracks. Pioli got lucky with the draw. He got lucky that Conte is even more stubborn than Pioli himself.
He got lucky that we faced a Napoli side who by then had completely run out of steam.
I know you can only beat the teams put in front you and Pioli did so, but not by outplaying them but by being less shit than them.
I’m absolutely confident that Milan didn’t acquire any new fans from that CL run.

We’re playing CL this year despite technically finishing 5th. No two ways about it.
When you think about it it’s absolutely crazy the amount of leniency shown to a guy who hasn’t improved any aspect of the team since May of ‘22. The squad has improved player for player over the summer, but the structure is still shit.

Thank you Pioli for the Scudetto which you, in turn, should thank Leao for more than anybody else. Now please get the fuck out.

Just fucking look at the first goal. It wasn't a counter attack, it wasn't a transition. It was just a simple build up from the back from Inter. The ball was passed to Dumfries, he took a couple of touches then passed it low to Thuram. Nothing special about any of this, but then BAM, Thuram ran circle around Thiaw and created the whole thing.

Where did Inter get the ball you may ask? Fucking RLC miscontrolled a simple pass under no pressure whatsoever and the ball went out for a throw in. Could you fucking imagine that? The Chelsea reject you idiots spent a whole month hyping up couldn't control a low pass from 5m away? And the future star of Milan's defense just got schooled by a mediocre winger turned striker who nobody wanted?

There was nothing tactical about the first goal, nothing Pioli could have done there. The team is just overhyped and overrated trash. Imagine buying 10 players just to have that backline, just to have Krunic as starting midfielder, just to have Giroud as starting striker. FUCK OFF.

We sold Tonali and fired Maldini for this LMFAO. Keep living in your lala land idiots, where the team is just so great and only being held back by Pioli. I don't even fucking rate Pioli but this was none of his fault.

This team shouldn’t lose 5-1 to that Inter team. It is definitely a top 4 side in terms of quality in Serie A so yes it is largely Pioli’s fault

Can't remember a top 4 quality midfielder that miscontrolled a simple pass like RLC LMAO. Even that donkey Lakaka wasn't that bad with his first touch 🤣🤣🤣

Pioli set up this squad.

A coach who wins only won title in his career, obviously shouldn't be setting up squads. But americans doesn't have a clue about global sports and business non related to wars, só i think the currently situation is ok.

I hope the Zerbi comes to coach Milan soon, from the americans im hoping only for the stadium, is what we need more right now.

Inter play in counters, what do you do with teams like this? You give them the ball.

What Pioli does? Full mode attack on them.

If we sack him now, we still have a chance to qualify for CL playoffs. Just saying.
Not going into playoffs will set us back 15m at the very least.
Most good coaches will cost a lot cheaper.

FFS, he's definitely not the one to blame today. We played Newcastle off the park, just one of those games where we just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net.

He is a good coach when he attends his meetings and sponsor.
