1) Fonseca finally got through to Rafa (unlikely)
2) Fonseca realizes how limp we look without him
3) Both agree that Leao needs to play (my choice)

His Okafor experiment hasn't worked out. Equally, Leao hasn't improved on the things Fonseca wanted him to improve in and has deteriorated in his sharpness in the attack. Fails all around.

Its not a 343, its a 4231, with Royal on the defense without ofensive role, Musah in front of him doing both, attacking and defending, so Theo can go forward freely on the left.
I would make something similar, only trading Royal for a real defender.

From how we have looked this season, this game looks bleak. But Morata has had success against Madrid (6 goals, 2 being in UCL semi final legs), Pulisic has had success against Madrid (1 goal, 2 assists all in UCL semi finals) and chuk has had success (2 goals and 2 assists) against them with another in preseason (I know who cares but still.) Theo will want to play hard against them with his history with them. Leao will play hard just because it’s Madrid (as should the rest of the squad). This all gives me some hope we won’t totally shit the bed. Madrid haven’t been there best so far this season (See Barcelona). We can play with them (no diddy), but I’m just worried about our goddam defense. Vini and Mbappe might have our defense shitting bricks.

I would personally play Calabria if he's fit enough to play especially with Musah helping out

Vini looking at a beggar Brazilian who has too much respect for him is the battle lost already.

I full expect Valverde to stay on the right to help fuck up Leao and Theo and help out Vasquez.

The battle of both the left wings will be crucial in this match.
