Yeah, but Fonseca also managed to rotate in 6 not regular starters and win, which Pioli rarely did.. Which is a win per say. But maaan, the quality drops so much when it’s not THE starting eleven on the pitch.

Tomori-Pavlovic should never start together again though. They are 1W-1D-2L avg 2.25 goals against per game, with the opponents being Liverpool, Parma, Lazio and Bratislava.

Milan plays good and loses - we are soo shit
Milan plays bad and wins - we are soo shit
Yeah but who its were playing good against and losing or drawing and who were playing bad against and winning or drawing. (its damn frustrating)

Add the equation the times we play bad and lose or draw

It feels like we rarely play well and win, which is something that Gerry and the team had us believe they would have the team doing.

If a side like Slovan can exploit the space left like they did better sides will do much more damage.
It's scary that we've played like this for years now, and keep suffering for it.

It's beyond idiotic at this point...

Imagine conceding two to the worst team in CL.

We win 3pts, but in reality us the viewers lost.
I was more exited watching our preseason wins... At least back then I hoped we'll even improve and be a force. Now I feel like I'm standingbin front of a firing squad and just waiting them to get it over with.

We won, we rotated players, blah blah blah... We still conceded 2 goals against the bottom team, and they could have scored more.

Same problems as last season, too much space given to the opposition due to imbalance and a double pivot that hasn't worked in years.

Going into the season with the wrong personnel for a coach that's out of his depth was foolhardy.

We've made so many amateur decisions on the sporting side, it's beyond incompetence now.

We're 40% through the season? And somehow could still stumble to something come years end lol.

This is Milan... Are you not entertained???!!!

Both like to charge forward and Pavlovic does it so brainlessly that it always distorts the defense.

Please no more of this combo as it’s a disaster

If there was one defense in Europe to achieve this feat, it was ours. Absolutely dreadful.

Goal difference is important of course but if we win against Girona, Red Star and Zagreb it won't matter, we will be in
16-12 in goal difference from those games.

I got a bad feeling abou this, we should be able to deal with this no trouble. But man Fonseca is fucking shite.
We get by, by very little. Its not even Fonseca thats annoys me.

What is bugging me the most, is Ibrahimovic and the JellyBelly duo (Furlani-Moncada) in the stands. Those three need to be fired first.

I was watching Bayern just now, what they have for life that we don't anymore, is the core. A big club must keep the core. Bayern was never exceptional, but its always there fighting.

Full time. 3 Straight wins in UCL.
9 scored, 4 conceded.

Slovan was easier than Empoli, that's for sure.
They lost a goal saved by Pavlovic, and gifted us one.

Easy math, if they were a bit more competent, they would have beat us 3-2.

This is serious stuff.

So, this one is interesting. I thought this would happen against Real and Inter, or even Juve, but it didn’t.

I think we lose our shape particularly terribly against smaller teams because in trying to pry them open we overcommit. If a team plays more openly, we generally seem to do better.

True but it is more than shape.

Against inter and Real Milan closed the space more effectively. Inter’s game was disrupted with Milan’s high press and defensive cover so they tired, opening up space at the back for Milan to exploit.

Against real it was something similar but real didn’t press Milan as hard for spells and allowed Milan more of the ball for spells too hoping to catch us on the break. Fortunately when Milan lost the ball they covered the potential danger areas quickly sometimes not.

Against the smaller teams the tactical play can be overly aggressive. The shape is still there but the mind set is not as alert to the threat of a counter. It is a mindset thing. It’s been a strange season hot and cold form from game to game in patches.

When you play Cagliari and Bratislava and they both play with this much hope and no fear then you already are losing
when Bratislava's goal is the most goal keeper with saves like your goal keeper despite the fact that you have plenty of players to make a difference in the attack then you are losing
when they have their best game against you, best result of them scoring twice and missing more chances than you, that must suck
in the league Milan is 7th
the 6 teams in front of Milan, only Napoli without an ex Milan player
the other 5 have an ex Milan player that fans celebrated getting rid of
Hakan is the best in Inter, CDK yesterday scored twice and 3 assists in a 6 goals win over Young Boys

Romagnoli in Lazio is doing good, so is Kalulu in Juventus

and Yacine Adli in Fiorentina is starting to show how good he is in a team not built on Leao alone

how many other players you need to lose before understanding that the team is the problem not the individuals?

the defense defends but not alone, can't expose them like that and expect them to look good

even Juventus who are not doing good in their attacks and even without any striker they managed to reach your box so easily

Management should pay attention

when your coach is talking about scudetto even though you need 6 teams to lose 42 points then he is delusional

because if Napoli lost 9-12 points, Milan would be 6th

you need all of them to fall freely for a while and you win every game

this Milan performance is torture, each game you feel sorry for your opponents when they lose because you never play well.
