Today is the anniversary of the day where Roger Federer played his last ever match and had his retirement’s ceremony.

The saddest day in all of Sports history. Tennis will never feel the same way ever again.

However, his retirement at LC 2022 was also the most iconic ceremony ever to me and I don’t think that retirement will ever be topped.

That event gave us this snap:




Forever grateful to the photographer who managed to take this photo that day and summarised the end of an era that defined tennis.

Considering everything that’s going on surrounding Zverev he’s playing really well. He’s serving extremely well. Ruud will be a big challenge though. Zverev has spent a lot of hours on the court so far while Ruud comes fresh from a w/o.
Nonetheless I think whoever goes through between Carlos and Jannik eventually will lift the trophy.

I know Casper beat zverev easily last season but I think this season zverev will beat him. Zverev is playing better this season and his level against De Minaur was high. He’s ball striking well and serving decently.

Great match! A shame they were drawn in the same half as this was a final worthy. Unfortunate with Sinner's hand cramping. Not something you see too often.
I'd back Alcaraz to go on to win the tournament now, but Zverev has had a great run and has beaten Carlos a few times this past year.

Correct I would have destroyed them but it’s not a dig at them. That’s the effect of Roger Federer’s greatness. He has that kind of impact on anyone.
