a technical question, does rugby have a quarterback like position? somebody who's only responsible for playmaking and not involved in the action that much.

No, they dont. Everyone is involved in the action. The closest to a specialized playmaker is usually the fly-half who try and pick out that attacking pass which will break the defense line. But they are involved in most of the other action as well.

So someone like Dan Carter

Oh yellow carded players get a time out :D. We should do that in football.

Also, they need to make the goals smallers. Theyre too wide

Beautiful start to the tournament.

England, finally a sport they can be deemed competent in. :D

Good on Fiji for showing a lot of heart to try and take the game to England.

Hope the rest of the tournament is good.

What happened with Dagg?

Did he have really bad form in super league or something??

He's still pretty tidy

But Ben Smith is better

He hasn't had the best year though, but he could have gone and I wouldn't have had an issue with it

"He's loyal to his teammates. Would give anything to the jersey. Would give anything to the brothers beside him. He cares deeply about the legacy of the All Blacks."

All Blacks captain Richie McCaw gives a great speech to his fellow New Zealander Ma'a Nonu.

I'm hoping there aren't any upsets in the Q/F

SA were kind of an unlikeable team. I feel like only they could challenge NZ, though. I doubt about Australia.

NZ completely humiliated France . If they win this World Cup, They will be the greatest team in sports...ever.

SA vs NZ is probably the biggest game in Rugby (i know not everyone will agree with this), it could go either way.

Before the tournament not many were backing Australia, but they are showing Championship form in building momentum as the tourney has gone on. Plus they've got the DNA :o

This was the biggest margin of victory for a Q/F... a record that has been around for 20 years iirc. Before today it was 28 point margin of victory. NZ are on fire and right now they are the ultimate machine.

If they win this World Cup, They will be the greatest team in sports...ever.

Hmmmm

Brazil 1970

Ajax 65-73

Milan 87-96

Ajax late 80's-96 .... They won all 3 European competitions and did it in style for the most part ;)

Could also add the current Bayern side.

Australian Cricket team of the late 90's - the mid noughties.

Some tough teams up there buddy

That being said All Blacks deserve all the plaudits they get. They've been on fire for the last 5 years and have taken on everyone. I just hope they can get their 3rd Title.

Nha we can never beat n.z ay home let alone away from home haha. if we avoid n.z then we have a chance. We match up better against springboks whom i am not to afraid of. Lot of dutch players in s.africa.

Australia - Scotland is a very exciting match. I thought Australia were going to go all in in the second half but...

Brazil 1970 - no idea
Ajax 65-73 - no idea
Milan 87-96 - molto

I think Brazil 1970 are probably the greatest International side of All time. They won all their matches in qualifying and during the finals. I could be mistaken tho... they might have drawn one game

The Ajax 65-73 is one of the greatest club side of all time.

Milan just blew everyone away.... both in Europe and Italy. Also to go unbeaten for 58 games

That second Ajax side was from around 86/87-96 ....

When I say this current Bayern side I mean the one from 2011 til now. Destroying teams at home and abroad.

All Blacks definitely deserve their place amongst the greats... but i'll take Football > Rugby

Win % are for accountants :o

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the All Blacks have a 75% win percentage over 100+ years.

That has got to be the most successful international sports team ever
