So Balogun is an Englishman, eh. Maybe we can use Tomo to lure him here.

Wait, they can’t demand ridiculous transfer sums and salaries?
I guess PSG and the English clubs didn’t get the memo.
And Real buying teenagers who have barely played senior level football 🤣🤣

Just check this out

He makes the dribbles and ball progressing look super easy. He's not even trying. His finishing though...
Talent wise he is capable of delivering 35-40 G/A per season, but he needs to work A LOT.

Not even single shot "ON TARGET"?

Messias out for at least 10 days now but will get a check after 10 days, but it should be longer. I reckon 2-4 weeks tbh.

Saladmakers time. And perhaps we will see our Capitano play more now too. I haven’t given on up Calabria yet btw. And I don’t think Pioli will either. I’m okay for some experiment with Capitano. Not like Saele/Messias are Theo level that we can’t experiment anyway.

Saele should start as RWB obviously but I’m okay with Calabria/Florenzi coming off the bench for him.

Not interested in Dest though, prefer him gone

Dest is probably better than all 3 of those for the role

I want him gone as well but might as well use him for now

So which striker do we want!?

🇧🇷 Vitor Roque, Ath. Paranaense, 18 y/o, 1.72m, 2 games: 1g / 0a (last season 52 games: 14g / 5a)
🇩🇰 Hojlund, Atalanta, 19 y/o, 1.91m, 23 games: 7g / 2a
🇨🇭🇳🇬 Okafor, RB Salzburg, 22 y/o, 1.85m, 28 games: 10g / 4a
🇦🇷🇮🇹 Retegui, Tigre, 23 y/o, 1.86m , 7 games: 6g / 0a (last season 42 games: 23g / 3a)
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇺🇸 Balogun, Stade Reims (on loan from Arsenal), 21 y/o, 1.78m, 27 games: 16g / 2a
🇨🇦🇺🇸 J. David, LOSC Lille, 23 y/o, 1.75m, 28 games: 18g / 4a

Konate, Liefering (on loan from Salzburg), 18 y/o, 1.78m 15games: 11g and 1game: 1g for Salzburg.

Ljubičić, LASK, 21 y/o, 1.86m, 17 games: 10 g.

Meerdink, 19 y/o, 1.82m, 4 UEFA Youth League Games and 6 goals. (Konate ^^ also has 6 in 7 in this competition.

Luis Semedo is another we are always linked with. Contract problems I believe. Benfica striker that looks very good. 1.79m, 19 yo, 4 in 4 in the youth league but seems to not be getting much game time in the domestic youth leagues.

He probably could’ve had a few shots on target but decided to make the better decision and set up teammates

And it’s not like he was given golden chances, he had to pretty much create everything. The best chances teammates set up for him was the Thiaw pass but even then it wasn’t clean

You should probably stop claiming yourself as some sort of neutral figure when it comes to Leao

I want whoever Maldini and Massara don’t want

Maybe they can phone a friend and ask Boban for advice?

This purchase can’t be a kid

Needs to be someone close to entering their prime

Julian Alvarez has contract issues and has hardly played at City, he would be my realistic dream

Would even entertain an Alvarez+cash for Rafa deal

I don’t think Balogun will be possible. And if he is we will have to probably pay around what Roma paid for Tammy.

Arsenal will ask for a lot and they know some midtable epl team will offer big money if the even want to sell him.

It will be the only way we get a superstar striker, don't you agree?
Any striker around 23, you'd expect if they're going to be a superstar they'll have a decent goal record by now and therefore demand a huge fee.
I think we could identify a young striker for relatively cheap that is ready to hit the ground running. Ideally we have Giroud, a teenager we think has superstar ability and someone to replace Origi/Rebic that can play out wide and up front.

It’s the end of the line for Giroud and Ibra. The need for a starting CF has become urgent and they can’t wait around for a kid

I’d say this is the most important transfer decision of Maldini’s tenure

Lol. I don't wanna claim I started the Blas-wagon, but I was definitely chirping for him to be bought heavily last year. He could essentially cover the roles that Brahim and Messias have. And potentially others.
Definitely don't want to do that, otherwise Sam:

what about somebody more experienced? we tried to go young with Origi but his lack of experience shows in his decision making. if i were in charge i'd buy Pavoletti

CF needs to be a proven player. OG and Zlatan are way too old and can’t continue to bank on them next season. Origi has been a bust so far. Putting the responsibility on a teenage starlet won’t be a good idea

Next two games important to get 6 pts and get back up the table. Several top 6 sides are playing each other and will drop some points.

As always, I use the past to try to see the future.

Balogun is 178cm … I doubt he’s the CF profile Pioli prefers.

Though, after last mercato and also the way we have played mostly this season, my compass is a little broken. I can no longer, with confidence, try to predict what type of team we want to build and what type of profiles we’re after.

I love Pioli, he deserves to be our manager for the foreseeable future. Players seem to love him, most fans love him. I don't really know the inner works in our coaching staff, who's responsible for what. But if we're being honest our attack is shit, and it's been for some time. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I feel like we can do a lot better with better coaching. I want to see overloads, triangles, switches of play and players actually knowing what to do when they get past the halfway line. I would love us to poach some assistant/technical coaches from around the leagues. I know it's very unlikely, but I feel like we've reached a point where if Pioli can't make it work, hire someone who can in that specific area.
