Federer is aestethics in perfection.
When tennis teachers want to show their students video studies of how to play those rackets, how to move, to serve, smash.... almost every imaginable point in this sport... they'll show them Federer videos, not Nadal or Djokovic videos.
When you watch Djokovic, Murray or Nadal play tennis, you can see that what they are doing is on an incredible high bar, how difficult playing tennis on that level is, how much training and dedication it takes to even think about playing like them. You see them sweat. You hear them scream. It's a constant struggle while they ask their bodies to do seemingly impossible things.
But when you watch Federer, everything seems so effortless. So intuitive. So easy. Every movement flows so naturally into the next one. It's like a dance. Sometimes I could swear he wasn't even sweating. Of course he was. Of course he was in as much physical pain as the others. But you never saw it. Federer transcended tennis to a level no one thought it's even possible, and he did that by making it look like a walk in the park.
Both Nadal and Djokovic said multiple times during their careers that Federer set the bar and that they wouldn't play on the levels they played during their prime if it wasn't for him who lead the way.
Numbers are numbers, and I can't win a debate against numbers, obviously. But I'd nonetheless bet that in 20 years, people looking back will say Federer left a bigger and especially more significant mark to the sport than Nadal and Nole.
Hopefully next season Milan drive the team bus around San Siro before every home game to greet the fans. A shame Bari let promotion slip away in the last few minutes, better fan base for Serie A instead of Cagliari.

Goat debates are silly to me. Arguing about who got the better stats. Dont care. Im a spectator so base my opinion solely on who is the most fun to watch.
So i'll always pick Ronaldinho or Zlatan over Christiano Ronaldo or whatever.
Same with tennis.
Djoko is great but Federer was a goddamn artist.
Fuck a statistic
It should
Bep is just overrated shit.
Imagine his peak glory era is shrouded in corruption
Needing 12 fucking years to win another CL with an obscenely expensively assembled team gets swept under the rug because of the utter deluge of media hype he swims in
Pep has never been genuinely criticized for 1.2 DECADES of consistent CL flopping. It's always "oh he just overthought it" and "if they played 10 times City/Bayern would have won 8 times" etc.
The other reason he gets a pass is because he won 5 premiership titles in 7. The premier league itself gets the most media hype as well. Meanwhile la Liga has been the most dominant force in Europe.
So you'll excuse me for having my opinion about Pep beyond the "professor" nonsense. The fact remains that he ended up playing outside his usual style and squeaked past an unfashionable Inter (is there even a single Inter player who is rated on the world stage?) ..to FINALLY win a CL after 12 years. With respect to playing with the Messi team....Luis Enrique took them over and won the treble convincingly and he isn't usually considered in the GOAT discussion. The guy was in the right place at the right time to get the best player in the world as well as the undisputed most talented Spanish team ever.....and the momentum of that success has carried him ever since
I'm too lazy to dig up posts but you really did a 180 both on Maldini and on faction allegianceI didnt disrespected him still.
It truly is the greatest relief.Me during these Pep debates knowing that Inter still has less than HALF the amount of CL titles as Milan:
I didnt follow him closely to know his numbers but the times I saw him play he looked much more influential?
Barella's 20/21 Serie a season under Conte had him finishing with a 3G/7A and a 6.95 whoscored rating.
21/22 season finished with 3G/12A and 7.13 rating, his best yet.
This season he also has better numbers than during the time with Conte.
UCL numbers paint a similar picture but Conte chokes so that's beside the point.
He's still relatively young and I'm not discussing his personal attributes (Tonali better 100%), can't argue against the numbers when comparing it to previous seasons.
All jokes aside, I genuinely think Adli has a higher ceiling and more talent than Kamada does. I don't expect Adli to be staying around this summer, which is a shame--because I think he could help us.On this, we agree.
Adli and Kamada rotate at CAM, Leao and Chuk Mustang roles, someone plays CF, we buy a DM and RB upgrade.
Rabble rabble
Not "we" boo - its usually the ones that supposed to be good with numbersEvery summer it's the same shut with Inter. "They are poor, they're going to fall apart, they gotta sell x amount and end in x amount of positive, they will default, they are over, etc."
Yet, every summer they somehow end up ok and still in the top 4.
I love taking a dump on them as much as the next guy, but somehow I think we are exaggerating their situation a bit and come September they'll still be top 4/Scudetto rivals for sure.
So as much as I wish they become a mid-table team again, it's not going to happen next year.
So I hope this new management has an idea of how to strengthen our own squad.

Kamada and Adli both fit perfectlyAll jokes aside, I genuinely think Adli has a higher ceiling and more talent than Kamada does. I don't expect Adli to be staying around this summer, which is a shame--because I think he could help us.
I think if we're going to have both Leao and Chuk, they both need to up their workrate, and if we had Scamacca, who likes to drop and distribute play, it could work--but both Chuk and Leao would need to be far more active.
Pioli needs to add a more possession-based curve ball to balance out his pressing-first fastball. He also needs to stop using a SS.
I was thinking about it: Furlani wanting to bring in Dybala was supposed to be a sign of some sort of "see, this is what could have happened."
But if we got in Dybala, we'd have the same 424 problem, just with... a better player there. The 424 needs to stop being the base shape of Pioli's plans.

I commented about his play under Conte and admitted I think he fell off a lot - I never compared him with respect to Tonali's levelI don’t know man, I thought Tonali and Barella were on similar levels last season but I’m afraid this season Barella drifted apart. However Tonali is 3 years younger so he has time
None of us said that Inter were going to go bankrupt this season or anything like that. Not "we" boo - its usually the ones that supposed to be good with numbers
Where in my statement says bankrupt?None of us said that Inter were going to go bankrupt this season or anything like that.
That's an imagined argument that none of us made.
Winning the Scudetto after they had to sell players due to their poor choices isn't them falling behind us?Where in my statement says bankrupt?
There have been annual prophesying about them falling behind us due to their financial issues and it hasnt happened yet.
Well, if Pioli starts playing like he did in the mystical "lockdown period" then yes, they'd both be really useful. I find the continued pursuit of Kamada to be surprising because of Pioli's inclinations towards a 424.Kamada and Adli both fit perfectly
Probably no way Adli sticks around like you said, though.
The funny part is that Moretto (who seems to be in-the-know) gave out a list of players that management are looking at, and... DM wasn't one of them? He said that they want: a striker, a right winger, a 10 that can play as an 8 (Kamada obviously), CB, and a backup for Theo.We need a DM.
I don’t trust Pioli to change his system. We’ll play his 4-2-4 crap again. So it’s a must to get a proper DM.
