Sorry, that was my bad, but that's still not enough, imo. We don't even have enough to have a 2nd choice midfield.

Plus, not really any of them are defensive in the slightest, I fear we'd be extremely thin on the ground (especially as Bennacer is already injured) and we'd be cut through like Swiss cheese as Leao and Pulisic won't exactly work hard to cover.
Apparently we're going to promote Eletu from the Primavera so 6 players should be enough. Also, Gravenberch is very good defensively plus Musah + RLC both have great physicality. We'll be fine.

Firstly, who.

And secondly, I am putting it on the record that I don't think it's enough, especially for a three man.

I am actually ok with giving anither chance to CDK and Origi in case we cannot sell them.

Both had a terrible year, 1st year in new league and with limited alternative options. Now that it seems we'll upgrade RW and 1st AM option, it could be interesting to see if Origi can score/contribute more (showed glimpses of quality at the end of season) and CDK show more grit and use physicality more (quality is also undoubtful).

When we played Liverpool in CL, Origi dominated against us as target man, but also he had threats behind him in Salah and Mane.

That being said, they both know they start from the bottom, being 3rd ST (in case we get Morata) and 2nd AM options respectively.

Suma said right now our mercato is Pulisic and Reijnders. Pulisic instead of Diaz, Loftus instead of Tonali, Reijnders instead of Bennacer he said, after this the first phase of the mercato will be over, then we will try to sign another midfield with muscles, a RW that can score goals and CF, but first we had to substitute Diaz, Tonali and Bennacer. He says he knows nothing is a just a feeling that he has but Morata won't come here according to him.

FM fb:

If Mbappe to Madrid goes through serious indiscretion about Leao to PSG.

Just bringing it.
My 5 cents go on Osimhen as Mbappe is considered more as CF than LW for PSG.

But in case Neymar goes as well, then we're probably fucked 🫠

I'll let this slide because the shier amount of ignorance in terms of domestic abuse and its irrational workings in this post is baffling.
His case has been dropped by a court of law apart from his girlfriend comming back. If you do away with all abusive relationships than 50-70% of relationships are probably gone, that’s not realistic and a good amount of that is private life. That Greenwood got in the media doesn’t make him special.

Looks like Greenwood is about to go to Atalanta.

Much better player than Pulisic, Chuk, Nico all those fuckers. Too bad
He last played a match back in 2022 January. Not only that, but in that time, he was suspended, meaning he couldn't even train. 1,5 years of not training for a 21 years old is a huge, huge handicap. What kind of physical shape is he in? In my opinion, he is a huge, huge question mark. Just because he was a big talent 1,5 years ago, he lost so much time, match experience, training, etc that it would be risky to purchase him. What makes you think that the current version of Greenwood is a better player than the aforementioned list?

And that's just the footballing side of him. What he did to her girlfriend is simply unacceptable. I'm not the metoo type, judging a person based on an accusation, and cancelling his life. But in his case, the evidence was pretty clear. A rat like him should rot inside a jail. Fuck this asshole.

So,

we would have in midfield:

Bennacer
RLC
Musah
SMS

For three positions? What if one is suspended and one is injured (like Bennacer already is for half the season)?
Bennacer will be out for next season too. I wouldn’t count on him too much.
There was thing interview of the Algeria NT coach. Who said that it is the worst injury a player can encounter…I hope he is wrong. And luckily Milanlab is on his side.

What IS Bennacer's injury? I know it's the knee, but there's been no specifics (ACL, MCL, meniscus, etc). At least none that I've seen.

Ever heard of Stockholm syndrome? Quite common in an abusive relationship. Doesn't mean Greenwood is not a piece of shit

@sheva

This is why the club doesn't care about playing the Italian sport journalism game. It's beneath us. Why would we care about denying or confirming rumors? How does that help us besides making us look weaker and giving journalists more power?

We rarely deny rumors. And when we do, it's really those who can actually hurt our image. Last rumor that got officially and vehemently - even furiously - denied was Laudisas "friction between Leao and Maldini, renewal at serious risk" rumor.

Mercato rumors on the other side are meaningless. It's part of the game to create polemics. But that's exactly what it is and where it stops: polemics. Give them more attention than deserved and suddenly you make them more important than needed.

In the grand picture no one remembers the polemics of last week. Heck, when have we ever not be the target of some sort of agenda? And yet I barely remember any single Mercato polemic from the past few years. Neither do most fans. They come and go. Our management has more important things to do than scam the internet for articles and publicly deny every single rumor out there.

Meanwhile, the loss of face or image damage never happens. We've already sold out season tickets despite higher prices, sacking Maldini and selling Tonali. The enthusiasm of the fans is unbroken. Their loyalty unquestioned. What difference would some silly rumors make to them?

Believe me, people like us who eat up rumors on an hour-per-hour-routine are the loud minority in the social medias. The quiet majority however goes to the stadium and buys Merch like we were going to win CL next year.
let me clarify, i'm far from the rumor-driven crowd that gets emotional whiplash out of potential targets that the media brings up to generate clicks.
every transfer should be judged according to their performance on the field and it doesn't really matter if they were crazy good with their last team or failed hard.
as well, i've said that a smart ownership should not waste their time trying to assert dominance in italy only but rather concentrate on upgrading international markets.

as you said, the majority of fans do not have a thorough idea on the day-to-day that goes on in the club, that's also why stadium attendance isn't plummeting as we're riding the high of last season. saying most fans will boycott the club due to tonali & maldini's treatment is delusional and i've said it during peak meltdown here as well.

redbird have yet to prove their capabilities when handling this big of a project, toulouse is too miniscule of an example to extrapolate anything substiantial. if they will go on to achieve greater highs each year then no one will remember their rocky beginning, maybe few. so far, they haven't.
if the banter era taught us anything, is that fan appreciation and investment falls very quickly from grace when several factors come in together.
yes, controlling narratives is essential when dealing inside italy which like it or not, we will need to do when we're selling off fodders, buying italians for the lists, investing in future prospects from italian academies, etc.

a smart sd has to juggle between all those aspects, and with bad press it's a harder job to pull off. even wondered why marotta can get those ludicrous deals when he's selling a inter primavera fodder for 10-15 million to an italian midtable team? italian teams are not swimming in cash, mind you.
the weak bend to the strong, that's how it is in nature. if we're fixing our RW situation this summer, why not start working on the positive perception of milan as well.

you mentioned the hardcore fans as the only ones affected by bad rumors, but there is no crowd opinions inside italy as well? milan fans bemoaning their ownership does not trickle down eventually? why wouldn't cardinale want to make milan a premium brand inside italy as well, boost shirt sales and everything marketing related is beyond me.
sure, he can scrape by with top 4 and slow stadium trajectory for years, why not maximizing it, though? and if the price to achieve that is getting good with some journos, i don't think it's such a climb.

New Matchday apparel.

Who said we aren't after the american market?

Pulisic, so they say, is a super star in the US. I think they are waiting the deal to be done to prepare something special. Wouldn't be surprised if the marketing is going to present him as the signing of all our summer signings.

The comic book marketing theme was not by coincidence. RB wanted Pulisic from day 1.

Unfortunately for us, Captain America is soft as sh*t. If he delivers more $'s than GA. It's still a win eh.

There is literal evidence of him doing exactly what you are condemning.

How can you want him at this club?

All the evidence points to the fact that she was domestically abused, and this was evidence released into the public realm. Her going back to him is further evidence that this often happens - i.e. domestic abuse victims going back to the people who abuse them - not that he is fine.

I similarly wouldn't touch Robinho, Adam Johnson, Partey, Mendy, Siggurdsson - all were either convicted of doing something sexually inappropriate (varying degrees) or accused of.

Why would you willingly tarnish the brand? You can go and listen to Greenwood's evidence now, it's not like he was in panto or recording for Eastenders.
I agree about Greenw but we shouldnt condemn players unless concrete evidence is presented.
There is probably as much lying evil women as there is rapists.
Didnt Mendy proven innocent?

Origi doesn't want to leave. Fuuck.

He is good with his role as third striker. And Maldini gave a 4M to him. What a mistake.

Without him leaving we can get just one striker
He isnt a bad striker tbh. I think he can do better now if we get Pulisic and Chukwueze to play behind him.
Midfield also will be better now and more balanced
Origi - Giroud - Morata will be enough for our strikers
