Who is Bart?
LB who's too tall for LB but hasn't been tried at CB but did a shift in a friendly or 2 ending up at DM... Interesting kid for sure.

Looks mature beyond his years... My point is shuffle the pack to make something work rather than just monkey see monkey do thing where need RW, put in RW.

too many great players to list but if pushed all time favorite player: Maldini
Starting Romero has got to be pure satire at this point... I'm a little lefty/socialist with a pinch of tin foil hatty-ness thrown in for good measure and talk a lot about people in power pushing things in people's faces, hiding things in plain sight.

Pioli's next few lineups I feel will show if he's worried about his job or not. Starting Romero after the game there is ret4rded surely?

Musah right, Adli, Pobega and one from Deers/Krun?

Flo on a little later and push Cala to DM if needed.

I remember Bart putting in a shift at DM in preseason...

Surely the starting 11 we put out has to stay calm and steady, don't play like losers but also be conscious that we have to hold fast and as obvious as it sounds, not concede.

Playing Romero is surely asking for trouble???
Without a doubt it would be outright

Is chief tactician. So expect the unfathomable.
he may surprise us all and play a logical line up with appropriate tactics to match their skill sets. 🤞 We can only hope.

The Messi/CR7 rivalry was manufactured to sell a product and their Balon d'Or tallies (both of them) were artificially inflated to fuel the fanboy flames that drove attention and revenue.

I hate them both, so much.

I cannot wait for the day they retire and Haaland and Mbappe eclipse all their scoring records as scoring becomes easier, so that I may revel in the destruction of Messi/CR7 fanboys stupid arguments touting their supremacy.

How Calabria could handle two of the best dribblers on the planet like Kvara (at least last season he was) and Mbappe but then looses every duel against some random Genoa or Bologna dude is one of the last great mysteries to me.
He lack the material

Ok guys i've never fired a gun before and would like to try it one day.
But how bad is the recoil actually and how do you train for it? Silly question but just would like to know about this since i've only heard about aiming and targetting
Depends on the fire arm, calibur, weight & barrel length key factors

I haven’t the faintest idea I’ve never fired a gun in my life well nothing powerful I had a friend in the country years ago and his older brothers had air rifles and pellet guns none of which give much kick back. I hope I never have to fire an actual gun in anger or defence.

It is highly likely even inevitable that Romero will be starting the right wing v Udinese instead of Musah and Krunic will be starting again. Krunic is untouchable as far as Pioli is concerned. Adli should be playing and Musah should be first option for RW given Pulisic and Chuck are both injured. Reijnders played with Adli would offer so much more in midfield allowing Reijnders more play in an advanced role but we are talking about Pioli here. I would be shocked if Krunic and Romero do not start. Pioli has to reconfigure his tactics and play the players he has available to their strengths to get through this difficult phase. He cannot keep running them into the ground with the same tactical approach, he has to bring a tactical passing game when in possession to avoid any more injuries. Use the skill set Adli and Reijnders can bring it will help Theo, Leao, Giroud/Okafor and Musah (if played as RW) but I guess we will find out in time.
How many people here will be surprised if Pioli starts Romero this weekend? I can totally see him doing that though it means we play 10 men from the very start. He has this fixed idea about who should play where.

The obvious solution would be to move Musah to the right and bring in Adli. Defensively more solid and more creativity. Average Musah on the wings far >>>> than current Romero

But the way Pioli thinks, Krunic = untouchable, Krunic can’t play with Adli at the same time, team has to play with 2 wingers (hence Romero) = more likely dropped points

Milan DNA

You know he’s going to be a lockdown defender in the CL knockouts but get shredded by Messina’s finest

I remember Messina was the old Spezia under Carletto, they would routinely walk into San siro and beat us. I think this was around 2003 ish, when I started following Milan. Those hideous yellow and red stripes

Let’s talk Reinjders.

Phenomenal player but seems to have the CDK syndrome in front of goal.

Given our struggles at #6, I’d like to see him there, flanked by RLC and Musah.

I know it’s a more static role, but honestly I think that’s the best midfield we can put together right now

I actually think, given his lack of marksmanship, he should just be told that his primary job is to feed his teammates in the final 3rd. He’s more than capable of double digit assists in a season. If we can also tell Rafa to use his speed to run into space in the box more often… well… I can only dream of the rest of the season watching a Reindjers and Rafa goal scoring partnership. I think we lose too much of what makes him great if he’s playing as a 6

Why does the spending and profit / loss have to be on a yearly basis? Mgmt know that they need another good striker and it looks like they will be willing to spend 40 / 50 mil on him. Why couldn't they have done the 40 / 50 mil this summer so they don't have to spend the same amount next year?

On a 2 / 3 year basis the spending would be the same! And the profit over 2/3 years would be even higher because there would a higher chance of going further in the CL with a good striker in the team.
Risk management. We made a LOT of changes this past summer. It was already a huge risk. We're taking it for granted that RLC, Pulisic, Reijnders, Musah, Okafor and Chukwueze look likely to be very important and valued additions to the squad. Spending 50m+ on a striker would have elevated that risk to unsustainable levels (imagine if that striker, and half the new guys end up being duds). After their experience with CDK i'm surprised they went so far in the first place spending 100m+ in one summer.

Looking at things on a longer timescale than just a single season, we start to understand the logic in how they're building the squad. Elliott took charge a little over 5 years ago. In that time we won a title and overhauled the squad with targeted investments and barely any sales. Tonali was the first major sale that should get us a huge profit. We've had bad experiences with huge transfers in the past with the biggest 3 (Paqueta, Piatek and CDK) being failures in their time with us. Doing another high risk move like that in the same summer we already spent 100m+ on 6 or 7 important players is just too risky. We were going after a 10-20m CF, which is why we were chasing the likes of Taremi, and Jovic was a low risk safety choice, but it's clear we want to upgrade the position. We'll get to it eventually. We don't have to win everything this season, and we will reach a point where success is guaranteed as long as we continue our growth on and off the pitch.

One year we won the scudetto and overachieved so everything was perfect ofcourse. Kumbaya and hugs.

Last year we underachieved completely in Serie A but we overachieved in CL so everything is fine, players are motivated.

This year the players want bigger things, make the next step but the feeling is we wont get there, there is something missing. And ofcourse they grow anxious and frustrated. Ffs we are last in the CL without a goal scored. We lost to Inter and Juve.

I think the trust in Pioli to get us consistently among the best is lacking even among players. If so thats a huge problem.

a Striker that can do more than just head the ball. and a manager that can learn from his mistakes and not repeat them.

Can RLC, Musah and Reij play at the same time in the 4-3-3?
Reindeer can play in the middle, no need to bring him closer to goal with that atrocious finishing. but he is good in all other aspects of the game, also one of the best things he did prior to Milan was long shots. He should just attack from deep and stay out of the box before he catches the CDK virus

Mbappe was NOT the best player in the WC. It’s not without a doubt. Messi was better. Mbappe lost stream in the QF/SF. Messi was great in every match after the first one.

Hatrick in the final? Both scored the same amount of open play goals in that final. Mbappe arguably only picked up steam in the last 40 mins. Messi was good the whole match.

Mbappe didn’t carry France, he had a ridiculously good team to support him as well. Especially in 2018. Kante, Pogba, Griezman, Umiti all had just as big of a role, it’s not as clear cut as 2022 where Mbappe was truly France’s best player comfortably. And in 2022 he wasn’t better than Messi in the WC. His performances in the QF/SF dragged him down.

Lele Adani:
If Milan would win in Naples, the phenomenon is Giroud. Now that he equalized, the idiot is Pioli. This is what the media tells us, and this is supported by the environment and the red and black fans. So, based on this, for me, Pioli's cycle is over. Not because the team and managers don't love him but the fans have abandoned him.
In this situation, it is better to close because it would be useless when a large part of the fans no longer believe in him and see him as the cause of everything. Because in the first half in Naples, the credit goes to the players, not the preparation of the match... But in the second half, the responsibility rests with the coach. I think that if there is another loss, he risks being fired"
