i think that's why we cant win against Inter, with 2-3 passes, they destroy our system. Every time we press them, they make a chance for a goal.
i saw all the videos, and most of the chances were on our left side, and it made me think we press better on our right side.
i also saw this, too much space, this happened also against merda even worse when no one marked their player in the middle. A highway for him.
It's lazy as shit pressing. No intensity in the pressing. Has nothing to do with "a system" or "a mistake". It's not a mistake. Decision needs to be made quickly whether to press that player or not. The decision to press wasn't wrong. The way it was done.....well.....not sure it was done. Put it that way.
There is nothing wrong in the way we play. I see all this shit about a 343. Whatever. Diesn't matter. From 5 official games this season, we've played 4 of them great. Against Inter, the problem wasn't the formation. It was the actual arrogance of the movements. Putting Thiaw and Kjaer in their half (or almost) when we have the ball was idiotic. But again. It wasn't a formation problem. More of an interpretation of the game itself. In thst first video that Milan10 posted, Rafa waited too long to decide on whether to press. And then when he finally decided, I'm not sure if i can even define that as pressing. Put is this way, uf you're teaching kids, you'd use that video to show them what "half assed 'pressing' can do to a side". There is NO need to change the formation. And no, the "system" doesn't fall apart after one mistake. Even in that (first) video (of Rafa "presing on the left"), nothing fell apart in terms of "a system". Players were there to cover the "pressing" mistake and defended well. It happens in every team. Difference vs Inter? Tomori wasn't there to cover 20 meters in an instance like in that video.
I am not mad at Rafa for performing a lazy press. But ai do want him to be a bit smarter. Make a decision quicker, and whatever it is, execute it 100%. If you are going to press, go 100% and force a mistake. If you don't think you can get there, than stay back and cover your man so no counter can happen.
