Morata didn't start because wasn't 100% fit and Fonseca didn't want to risk it.
Came in around the 60th minute to replace Abraham.

I’m not sure.

I think beating those teams isn’t a problem for Milan.

We proved that in the CL 22/23 and EL 23/24. It’s the teams that are Roma tier and above that are a concerns for us in Europe.

But those teams, to be optimistic for us to beat them? Why not.

We beat Salzburg/Dinamo like 4-0 in 22 and last season we also beat Rennes and Slavia Prague.

Girona/Zagreb/Brugge/Crvena/Slovan

Getting 10-12 points in those 5 games for that is realistic.

That is enough for playoffs I believe.

Genuinely not concerned.
The trend has been that every time people say things like this we have poor performances and usually drop points in CL.

RLC, Chuk, and Bennacer don’t fit this system (Bennacer doesn’t fit any system).

Need to move these 3 guys on and get another CM, CF, and wide midfielder in January.
System?
Its quality and effectiveness. It's not system, it's level.

Last season RLC at least got goals. This season it's very hard to find him doing enough to justify his playing .... but then you see the bench and there isn't any alternative.

Fire the management that gave Fonseca literally 2 midfielders that fit his system.

How the fuck is morata still unfit. What the fuck are we doing.
Why even bother paying for fitness coaches. Fire them all. Fucking useless.

All of the management and trainers etc.

Morata constantly having niggles etc. Can't have one striker for the whole season. Fuckafor and fucktardovic are total shitheads and just pure rubbish.

If Calabria is found guilty of violating the Sports Justice Code, in addition to fines, he could receive a ban of one or more games and if it's a serious case, a ban of not less than 4 games.
I think we found our winning formula. :ibralol:
So what about Barella and Hakan who did worse stuff?

Lotus is just a taller Nocerino
who can dribble from time to time. Such a frustrating player to watch

Leverkusen was the Tottenham of Germany for their entire history. In one season they become favorites against Milan. Need to get back the lost self-respect. Inter is still holding up well with their performances in recent seasons.

I wasn't completely sure about Tammy's situation, but after watching this, I am fuming

Super super super obvious tackle from the back with zero interest in the ball. Especially the camera from the back shows it perfectly. This is a clear penalty.

On the positive side, once we started playing football, we were clearly the better team. Despite them sitting deep we created many chances but the usual sloppy shooting and decision making in the their box led to the lack of goals. Got pretty unlucky a few times too.
Fofana starts showing why we waited for him nearly 2 months.
Maignan is regaining top form.

Its a shame that we didnt get a pen..
Anyway..wanted a positive result just to keep up the pace..hope this L wont affect us and viola is a must win no matter what. Play the best XI because we have another NT break after so some players will get the chance to rest a bit. Next CL fixture is also a must win before the Bernabeu trip. Brugge, Bratislava(A), Red Star, Girona and Zagreb(A) should be absolute W..nothing else and with 15points we could even be TOP 8 ...if not playoffs is not bad either considering the fact we can get an accesible opponent.

Our fragile players should be banned from international football. We will get hurt easy.

But tbf today keverkusen were nuts. So many fouls not called lmao. Ridiculous.

Why don't we ever complain lol. We have accepted our situation. We just love to bend over.

when we beat Venezia 4-0, i was very disappointed with that performance because it looked like nothing changed in our game play, we were lucky to win that game and our performance was quite bad actually... however last night was a different story... even though we lost the game, i was very pleased and proud of our boys. they did very well and last night was our best performance of the season, even better than Inter's, I agree with Fonseca on that

Leverkusen came from an undefeated season and beat Bayern to the Bundesliga, and over the weekend even mighty Bayern couldn't oust them... Alonso has done a fantastic job there and you can see it from how they play. They are an incredible team and even moreso at home. The first 30 minutes was a nightmare for us, they just poured forward and were so dangerous, they were too much for us... but as the game went on, we were getting more confident in our abilities and we started to take the game to them.

I really can't fault our players for much yesterday, I think (almost) everyone did very well... including Chukwueze (who started well but then lost his way a little)... I'm loving the leap in confidence that happened as the game went on and we are clearly seeing growth in this team. I am proud and hope that we carry on this path of growth. We could have gotten a point from this game and it would have been well deserved.... the referee was a bit unhelpful with some of his calls but I don't think he changed the game.

It was a good game.. our best one yet this season.. let's build on it... I'll be honest, I wanted Fonseca out of here ASAP before the Inter game but the team is started to finally play proper football again, even if it is for certain moments... for me, he's earnt some more time to implement his football.

this game at Leverkusen was always going to be a game where we'd be lucky to come home with a point. nothing changes. We put in a very good performance and we move on. I wouldn't be concerned about last night's result..

We have to handle the opponent pressing better because I guess by now every CL club would have known that we are weak if you press.

how can fonesca succeed when he has the likes of musah, rlc and chuk as subs?

he would need to gas his starting 11 in order to get results, chuk's performance yesterday was... something else.
wouldn't describe him as sunday league level.
pulisic being tired, as well as royal being the moron he always was, made our right side non-existent.

Fonseca did complain in the post-match-interview. I posted it one or two pages back.

hadn't watched the replay yet, but, wasn't the foul on RLC done outside the box? by milimeters.

therefore, var isn't allowed to intervene unless it's a red card issue.

The step on foot is in the box, or at least on the line of the box, which is per definition in the box. The ref should have at least watched it. But it seemed the VAR room didn't even pause the game to watch themselves. It was pretty much in line with the one-sided line the ref applied in the 2nd half: in doubt, Leverkusen gets the advantage.

Also, Theo, WTF was that defending here:

Emerson too not reactive eneough on Boniface. But he at least was doing the counter-movement first to set-up the offside trap. The first and biggest error tho is Theo falling asleep and letting Frimpong surf into our box completely unmarked.

It's the only explanation but to me it's on the line so therefore penalty

I never usually use refereeing errors as an excuse but genuinely the decisions against us in the CL last few years have been unacceptable but last night is the worse I've seen. Within a few minutes I understood we'd get nothing from that guy. The thing is with arrogant ref's when they get something in their head you can't alter it. No doubt someone in our team has rubbed him up the wrong way and from then on he was on a mission to give nothing in our favour
