But then again, good defensive players are necessary.

Putting the blame for the 3rd goal on Theo shows very little understanding of the game. He has a player to take care of as they are 3 vs 3 in our box. Zappa should be Okafor's responsibility.

I know it looked bad in general as the whole defense was ass the whole game, but my God what were these crosses? Certified fodders like Augello, Zappa, Viola and Zortea were landing a cross after cross whole game. And even the ones that didn't qualify as 'succesful' were still super good and we struggled to clear them easily. It looked like fucking prime Giggs, Beckham and Lampard were in Cagliari shirts spraying crazy crosses whole game. We have one of the tallest defense lines from the top 5 leagues and still managed to conceded tens of crosses landing in very dangerous areas. That was a once in a lifetime game for these Cagliari fodders. They didn't do shit from other areas. All they did was send the ball from any position and it was landing always at the right spot in our box.
