That wasn't really a narrative or anything.
As @Hitman was doing, just pointing out that we have less injuries this season, so that is one thing that's been improved upon by Fonseca, as opposed to what Pioli was doing.

The point was purely "Less injuries than last year is an improvement."

The "didn't fit the narrative" part was because that point above seems to have been swept under the rug, because it doesn't fit the argument that "Fonseca is shit, all he does is useless, he is a shit coach, etc."

Benching our best players when they don't need to be, bad. Fik and Leao should have started in the Napoli match, Fik or Gabbia should have started in the Cagliari match. Fik and Leao should have started against the Monza match.

Players being douchbags cost us points. Penalty-gate against Fiorentina was on Theo and Tammy, Parma loss was on Theo jogging back against a sprinting Dennis Man, twice. Theo and Pavlovic got it all wrong against Zapata for the Torino 2nd goal.

If we had won those three matches, we would already be in the running for top spot. That's 8 points dropped.

Fonseca has been a mixed bag, but the players themselves need to look at themselves in the mirror too for where we're sitting.

Noticed Theo mentioned as responsible for many of the goals given up and hasn't been a threat offensively as he was before, so what's his problem? Why such steep decline from a couple of seasons ago?
Sometimes players run their course at a club, get bored, and need a change of scenery. He's given us his best years and it might be time to move on. With no news about his contract renewal Theo might be sold for much lower than expected but a club should sell a player at his maximum value not minimum. In any case even though he was my favorite player when in form I wouldn't mind a sale and replace him with someone promising like 20 year old Dorku at Lecce who as a LB has already scored 3 goals.

Morata has been a remarkably solid - if non traditional - 10 for us in our fake 4-4-2 (really kinda a 4-2-3-1 still). If Tammy could find his scoring boots, I dig Morata staying there. His willingness to come back and do so much dirty work hampers him as a CF for us. How many times have we seen him helping on D so much that he ends up further back than our midfielders when we start a break?

Having him at CF and Pulisic playing 10 somehow ends up with the American getting less touches at CAM than when he plays on the right, due to Morata playing so deep. I’m not liking that really at all.

I don't know about perfect. I can't think of a few that are much better but yes he is a solid player.

He's the starting regista for Italy when healthy and supposedly Man City made a 35 million offer for him in January that Torino rejected. At 23 has improved tremendously last season and this one, sort of like Calafiori did at CB for Bologna and was sold to Arsenal for 45 but now is injured.
I meant perfect in a 4-3-3 set up where he directs traffic and is also good defensively and this way Deers can have more freedom, less defensive responsibilities where he's weak because Ricci and Fofana can cover for him.
Spalletti loved him and Italy's midfield of Tonali-Ricci-Barella is not bad.
