Thank you all for the kind words, glad it got a good laugh. Of course the only one who didn't enjoy it was Vulture, which is disappointing. Sorry I failed you.

Now, what would you all prefer next. Another Life of Pigeon with the Hitler video, or more of the same for a different person?

Rebic making use of momentum to get a head start, but it's risky. Could have gotten VAR to annul the goal if he was a moment too early. Notice Calabria doing the same on the other side. It's planned.
Talking about penalties, here's Kessie again looking at the GK in the eye while taking his.

Es_dVLTXEAAgnPH
Yeah they actually looked at it in VAR I guess since it took a couple of moments for the referee before he resumed the game.

But now seeing Calabria doing it too I'm fully convinced this is studied and trained as well.

Milan goalkeeper Gigio Donnarumma reportedly continues to ask for €10m a season to renew with the Diavolo, who offer €7m plus bonuses.

I'd rather give that cash to Gigio than buy a 50m GK at a 5m salary (since a keeper as good as Gigio doesn't exist and definitely not at that salary and transfer fee).

He will sign at 7.5m or even 8m and have a release clause in case we don't make the CL. Willing to bet on it.

Maldini is a patient man (almost too patient) and will wait until the end of his contract if needed. He won't budge to insane demands like 10m, Gigio will sign at a reasonable (for him) salary and we'll win the scudetto. If they had a deal already on the table then he would have signed it already and we would have heard about it. Why on earth would Gigio want to leave now anyway? We're about to win the scudetto, have a young team about to challenge the CL. He's in line to be captain if we sell Romagnoli and he's already one of the highest paid GKs in the world.

It's possible there is 10m on the table but his desire is to stay at Milan, but also on 10m. If Maldini makes it clear that that won't happen and the choice is 7.5m at Milan or 10m elsewhere then we'll see what he chooses. Like you said, Maldini is patient. Raiola will also be happy to wait it out in this situation.

Why he would want to leave? Haven't they made it obvious? More money. That's why. Some people care about money more than about anything else.
And what if we give him the 10m? What happens when he starts asking for even more? Just give it to him? You think our other players will just sit idly by? No. This is bad for our salary structure.
You can get a very good gk for 30m+ and 3m+ salary. It makes infinitely more sense and causes a lot less problems down the line. And even from a commercial standpoint, it doesn't make sense to give the much money to keep a gk, no matter how good he is. He just doesn't have the commercial pull of a great attacking player. Not even close. He's not gonna sell nearly as many shirts, pull sponsors, increase viewership,...
It just doesn't make sense. If he continues asking these numbers, then it's time to let him go once and for all.
It sucks to lose a talented player, but if his salary demands hurt the team in the long run... Let him go

Question is who could afford a 10M per annum wage at this specific moment in history?

As someone else already said, over a 5 year contract it'd mean 100M on his wages alone, and we haven't even talked about signing bonus and Raiolas provision he'd demand on top of that.

The GK loves the $$$ but he clearly is legit. He deserves top Dolla. 8.5m + the necessary bonuses. Can't see him at any other club now. Get it done Paolo and put the C on his arm.

Yeah, I even forgot about the pandemic for a moment. It's frankly audacious to be asking for them to almost double his already high salary right now

if donna will leave without any decent money for milan from transfer i dont see our management will make any serious deal with raiola in the future (except situation like romag, dollaSr) - what would be a great thing.

Don't think that making captain someone who waits to renew the contract until last minute and tries to squeeze as much cash as possible is a good idea. Captain should be someone who signs it without even looking too much.

I think Calabria is the candidate for the future, granted he continues improving and becomes immovable at RB.

What's the source anyway of that rumor? Maldini just said in pre match that they freezed the discussions of the renewals to concentrate on the new arrivings but that Milan fans can stay calm and talks will resume soon.

Obvious that some shitty sources take the chance to create some juicy headlines, no?

Donnarumma is WC player and we must do everything in our power to keep him...but 10m is too much, it is 3m more than Ibra's wage. I hope they settle on 7m, or 8 at max, with contract at least until 2024.

If he agrees on the deal it has to be 5 years, he will ask for a 5mil raise each time he gets in the last year of the contract. Unless we become top 3 team in the next 5 years I think it would be best to sell him, no point in having a gk with 10mil salary while we have a lot more positions to take care of.

I'm afraid the window for selling him has passed. It should have been done in the last 2 years.
Now he's likely to leave for free, and even if he renews, no one is gonna pay us a transfer fee on top of his insane salary demands.

Who can offer Gigio 10M+ and needs Gk?

United? Nope.
Chelsea? Nope
Pool? No
Psg? Maybe
Barsa? Nope.
Real? Doubt it.
City? Maybe
Rube? Maybe. But he wont get a cent over 10M in future from them.

When u realise highest paid gks earn 10-12M range, chances he ll get it somewhere re slim. Maybe in psg since navas is 34. And no chance he ll get 15,20 in future after pandemic period.

Im sure he ll settle for 8+ bonuses. It just that fat prick who play games.

Sign him now for 5 years and in 2 years sell him to psg ro city.

I think Inter would be stupid enough to give him that, but with their ownership situation in limbo I don't think they can do it right now.

why would a top young keeper get less money than pre retirement superstar at 40? 10 is too much, but Ibra argument doesn't make sense, he's obviously worth more than Ibra atm.

I think we shouldn't even talk about other clubs, if Dollar leaves, it's gonna be Jube and you all know it. They got their filthy mouths drooling over him since Miha brought him in.

City have Ederson who is a sweeper gk & thats something Donna cant pull.
As general rule Raiola & his players should be treated as cancer & that include Donna.
We have Tata who no one ever heard off that cost us one million & Donna isnt 9mil/year better.

Either he lower his demands & take 5 years contract or its time to bite the bullet.
If there is a great time to bluff its now in covid days.

We'll have much better leverage if he's on a longer contract and having played in the CL. We can sell him for a lot, especially if the release clause is only valid if we're not in the CL. We can't do that if he leaves on a free now.

Mirabelli really fucked us with the way he handled the renewal. Forget the 6 million and don't even mention the 1m for his useless brother... But only 3 years instead of the usual 5? Now that is dumb. And then he was bragging about not paying Raiola any fees. He should have paid him while insisting on 5 years. That stupid fuck cost us 60+ million in capital gains.

No one is gonna pay any significant money for him if he's already on a 10m contract. No one. He would need to have significant commercial pull in order for anyone to think it was a good idea. And as a gk he just doesn't have it. He's not nearly as attractive commercialy as a similarly talented attacker would be. And again, you think our other players will be fine with that? What happens when Kessie, Bennacer, Theo need to renew? You can already see what's happening with Hakan, and there's talk the even Romagnoli is asking 6m already.

Would be true if we we're still in the banter era. Milan is now top of the league and we're looking good enough to make a strong run in the CL next year, and once the team matures we can even win it. We're not a level below Juve anymore, we're playing on the same stage.

That's fine with me, I don't mind keeping Gigio on long term, even if he's the highest paid GK in the world.
