Our squad even without ibra is much better then lazio atalanta

Not sure about much better.

If you look at player ratings individually in a video game, yea maybe.

But those 2 squads have a lot more chemistry and it really shows when we play them.

Now in terms of play style, we still look the same after almost a whole season with Pioli, that?s definitely on him

We should consider 3 at the back since we shift to it half the time anyway. Would help with Theo and the right winger problem.

He spent all the budget in the mediocre Tonali, ?35M.

He rejected a ?7M offer for Krunic and made him unsellable.

He did not put Samu or Calabria in the market neither, they were confirmed.

He allowed Rodriguez to go for ?2M, Laxalt on loan, his contract becomes shorter, his age increases, his price reduces, then what we earn from their loans? Could have been used as Theo back-ups.

He sold Paqueta, a very wrong decision.

He failed in his attempt to sign a CB in summer, so many players in list (Simakan, Fofana, Mukiele, Tomori, Tomiyasu) even sent a plane for Simakan (reported by media) for what? Only to delay CB signing for January.

He did not renew with Hakan & Donnarumma last summer, we are talking about two players who before COVID were a total of ?100M.

He made Milan a joke by signing the retired Mandzukic, a player no club in Europe wanted.

He did hurry for the Rebic-Silva swap without making assessments. Now Silva’s price is like 3x of Rebic, he could have been an asset for Milan.

Keeping Calabria was a great decision, one of the most consistent players this season apart from injuries.
Paqueta and Silva do well at their new clubs, but that doesn't mean that they would have at Milan.
Krunic did what you could realistically expect, we did need the depth he provides over the course of the season and he did well against ManU. For 7m that's nothing to be mad at.

Milan could shift to a 3-5-2 to make best use of the talent. Convert Hauge to an attacking mezzala on the left - he has the talent to do it. Leao might play better in a 2 man attack alongside someone like Ibra. Theo will make a perfect left wingback, he is defensively suspect as LB. The only weak point here is Bennacer in his current form - maybe one day Tonali could grow into that role, but he is too green at the mo.

Ibrahimovic - Leao
Theo - Hauge - Bennacer - Kessie - Saele
Tomori - Romagnoli - Calabria/Gabbia
Donnarumma

Leao's MV is like 30m. Is he better than Immobile/Correa? Are Romagnoli or Tomori better than Acerbi?

Lazio/Atalanta squads have been built for years and have been fine-tuned for the same stable system/coach. I think Lazio have actually underperformed, their squad is pretty solid.

That?s the point people miss.

Besides Theo, who has his own flaws, almost all the other players Maldini have gotten so far need time to adapt.

People were quick to label Bennacer world class, but honestly, I?m not completely convinced yet.

These other teams have been consistently adding and fine tuning pieces while the main structure of the squad remains the same. Whereas our only consistent performer is Kessie, not sure how anyone can think we are better based on just value

Paqueta too brazilian for topcoach piolis advanced style of football

Paqueta was shit for us. So was Andrea Silva (although a bit better).

If one player works well in one team, it doesn't mean he'll work in another and vice-versa. Immobile was shit at Dortmund, Jovic at Real, etc. etc.

There are so many variables needed for a player to succeed...

Silva barely got to prove himself, Paqueta and Piatek were the 2 best things that happened to us in a long time. Season after that they sucked and Paqueta event had a bad attitude.

If the market value u dont agree with or its bsd chemistry it only strengthens my point of: dont put the entire blame on players...especially a young squad....pioli deserves most of it...rest goes to maldini and there is some blame left for the players aswell

I dont take transfermarkt.com as any reliable source whatsoever
What i do know is that difference in team value will roughy be the same no mattwr who u ask imo..(cause im sure they didnt just come up with it randomly as the fifa rating teams do...prolly based on some measurable stuff (price and age etc probably)..

At most pioli can share the blame with maldini for failing to create chemistry but u cant blame that on players...they just get bought ...thr mgmt cosch is responsible for picking the players who can create chemistry in thr first place

Chemistry and pioli are two opposites

It's time for a foreign coach.

But realistically speaking, if we achieve CL then Pioli resta, and if we fail then 50% he stays still 50% he is replaced by another Italian midtable coach or some unknown quantity (Sheva?) rather than a foreign coach with experience. This is the dilemma. Don't think we can afford an actual coach besides Pioli-level.
