I think it's pretty obvious at this point Kamara-Kessie is similiar to the Maignan-Donnarumma situation. They had a deal with Lille and Maignon so they gave Donnarumma a take it or leave it offer. Probably the same with Kamara only they'll probably get Kamara regardless since he's free this upcoming summer.

Good strategy to get Kamara, Belotti for free and save the money for some quality signings. 25 mil for Noa Lang, 20--25 mil for De Ketelaere & 10 mil for Lorenzo Lucca (or the 6 mil option on Pellegri if he has a decent season)

Renewing Leao, Theo and Saele would be such a statement by management. It would disprove any notion that we can't get renewals done, and make the people who drag the issue look even sillier than they do now.

in my opinion, there is nothing that "proves" we can't get renewals done, or sell players if we can't find an agreement.

all the players that have left or will leave, are players from the previous regime whose contracts were already far more than they deserved. we all agree to that and yet some complain that Maldini won't give them the substantial increase they ask.

why not sell them with 1-2 years left ? ... really how much were these players worth at that time...they started performing well like a year ago.

these players were not worth renewing at what they asked and they were worth more to us by helping us achieve our goals to qualify for CL than selling for a cut prices.
that CL qualification brings direct revenues (from Uefa, Tickets and other direct revenues from matchdays) but most importantly puts us in a position that help us [re]grow our image thus revenues from existing sponsors and finding additional sponsors.
not to mention that a player Giroud would probably have moved elsewhere if we were not in CL. and our "jewels" like Theo or Leao could be (more) tempted by offers of CL playing clubs if we weren't in CL ...

even with the current Kessie situation. after reflection, i think he is worth more to us helping us fight for the title than try to offload for 10M or so in January.
yes we're happy Tonali's progress, Krunic's adaptation, Baka's arrival ... but Kessie's presence until the end of the season is

i don't feel we have lost anything. au contraire, i feel we have gained.
they have served their roles in getting the to that certain level. we move on, they move on.

it's also undeniable that we have improved, despite those departures and probably will improve more after those who will leave this season go.
so even if people can't get over their emotions, at least they should cling to the reality that (despite) with these moves, we are improving. so they must be the right moves. it's a fact.

New Dinho confirmed. He needs to get more effective and lethal, but I'm sure he will improve further. He will be a menace for every defence in the world.

I mean they get paid 8-10k? per match, make the post match interviews mandatory or cut the paycheck

Yes, maybe even with some matchday bans, if they make terrible calls during a match, dont even use the VAR decently, they lose money for sure they will try to introduce fairer play. Or ask more money to the FIAT family.

I was wondering if the SL would have introduced something like that. I can't wrap my head around why it's not already in the game. It would really help to make people understand certain situations and decisions. You may still not agree but the frustration is way inferior instead of just not knowing what is going on and yelling your anger at the clouds.

Anothe cool idea: bring some bits of the referees communication into broadcast like they do the team communication in broadcast in formula 1. Would be so interesting and entertaining as well.

It's really dazzling that in the 21st century we still haven't that in the game.

Naah, SL would have been even more corrupt. Jube people were part of the co founders...

The F1 formula would be the best. Hatred towards players would go down but increase against bribed referees.

Last weekend in Belgium a match was stopped for 7 minutes because 4 referees couldnt agree on the off side movement . After that they just the ref prolonged that match for 10 more minutes. The match went from 2-0 to 2-2. So the discussion is big here.

Bakayoko coming back is super important for this team.

I really hope he can return to form, not only because when in-form he is a tremendous physical presence, but he actually holds onto the ball very well, taking the pressure off--but also because even with Krunic showing that he can contribute, I think having Krunic as a Diaz back-up until January (at least) is important because we are going to be relying on Tonali, Bakayoko, and Krunic when Bennacer and Kessie go to African Cup duties.

I also see a lot of people writing off Toure, I'm not ready to do that. He looked like a mess in the first half, but this was a tough Verona team where Tudor has really changed them around in the short time he's been there. He looked nervous and like he was trying too hard, in previous outings (where he's been more of a LW or LM) he looked calmer. He has the engine, speed, and desire to play the position, I think with some time, he can be coached up.

I just hope we can ride out some of these injuries, get some players back, so we can continue playing our style.

The good thing that I see in comparison to last year's injury crisis is that we are still playing our style, even though we are missing players. When we had injuries last year, we became more utilitarian, more workmanlike, and grinded out results. Against Verona, we had a bad first half, but that wasn't some ugly win, the winning goal might have been an own goal, but once we got it, we weren't pushing like crazy. We didn't have to, we let the chances come to us, and we could have scored more. But we still played our style. We weren't just thumping the ball forward, hoping for Giroud or Ibra to do something, we still were playing our style.

Maldini isn't ready yet. He's going to have ups-and-downs, so I'm not going to hate on him. He misplaced a lot of passes, missed passing opportunities, and seemed overwhelmed. Krunic really helped when he came on. All the jokes about him last year don't seem to apply, because he's been very sharp this season. His control is better, his passing is crisper, I'm really happy to see it, we need it now.

Maldini grabs what we need in winter transfer windows, I'm interested to see what we do, and I'm sure some of those moves will depend on our injury situation. However, I think a player like Faivre would be hugely important, even if we did keep Messias, who I hope gets healthy.

It sucks that we constantly have to wait to see this team at full bloom, because when they are in full gear, this team is terrifying. I hope that we can come away from Porto with the win. These are the games that Leao, Alexis, and Tonali need to show up in--I'd say the same about Diaz if he was available. Now that's going to be on Krunic, Kalulu, Bakayoko, to step up, while the leadership from Tomori, Kjaer, Calabria, Ibra, Giroud, need to be on full display.

Tata did well against Verona, he made some good saves, and nearly saved the first goal when let down by his defense. I hope he can continue to be strong.

You better believe it. ;) Of-course he's not on Dinho's level, but he's a great talent with some similar traits. I'm verry happy he's with us and I expect great things from Rafa.

ronaldinho at psg, leao is talented but not on that level. very few in the history of football are.

I would say no player ever came close. Dinho was a magician and smiling while performing his magic. Unparalleled. He might not have been the player with the most and longest impact, but he was surely something else.

Like I said, Leao is obviously not on his level, but he is very exciting and has some of that elusive flair. He can become a top player.

AC Milan could well make a big investment in a new centre-forward in the next summer window, according to a report.

Calciomercato.it reports how the management thought that the signings of Olivier Giroud and Pietro Pellegri would solve last season?s problems of only having Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who continued to battle physical problems. However, Ante Rebic has started most of the games so far this season as the centre-forward.

The report mentions how the feeling is that next summer is the one where Milan will spend big on a striker, just as they have invested in other positions in the past like Leao (over ?25m), Tomori (?28m), Sandro Tonali, Mike Maignan and more.

Milan spending ?40m on a striker is very plausible and they are believed to be after a young profile, with Jonathan David of Lille the first target mentioned. He has already scored 6 goals in 9 Ligue 1 matches and has a valuation of around ?30-40m.

Alexander Isak is another target, and it is believed that he could take over from Zlatan Ibrahimovic?s Swedish legacy with the Rossoneri. He would cost around the same amount.

Timo Werner is another option given that he has been ousted by Romelu Lukaku at Chelsea, and finally Dusan Vlahovic is a target but his asking price has now skyrocketed to around ?60m.

Lol yep Leao is nowhere near as talented as Dinho and he was nowhere near as talented as Maradona aka the GOAT.

Venezia deserve to stay in Serie A just because of their kits tbh...

Relegate Genoa or something instead.
