Please define "super fan" and "more milanista than Maldini"

I'm afraid I'm not even worthy to be called "casual fan", coz I only bought fake jersey and never set foot on SS :proud:

Why act assholish?? Sometimes you have really good posts! The interview showed the public a lot of inside stuff that otherwise fans might only make crazy assumptions with no evidence ( assuming Maldini asking for an ownership stake!! ). And hopefully Redbird works better with MM and makes the team top level. But this was a missed opportunity to do so from right now. In the beginning of the summer you said that reports stating Milan only having a budget of 45-50 mil had to be BS because the yearly squad cost has actually fallen and is super low.. Then the budget actually turned out to be around 45 mil!!

Now I'm hoping that this is because of the ownership transition. I'd rather not bring up the intvw multiple times but some "super fans" like @Kuroha and @ForzaMilan2 accused me of being negative about the management. I've clearly stated that I think the management, especially MMM, are really fantastic and that they should be given more resources by the owners. Apparently some fans are more milanista than Maldini!!
I think my issue is you’re focusing too much on the 3 big players comment and ignoring the fact that we got CDK, Origi (who in my mind is a big player) and 3 excellent prospects. That’s a good window that mirrors almost every window we’ve had in the past four years.

About the ownership stuff I said it was just a theory because of Silva’s involvement, and it’s not that crazy of an idea.

Also on the squad costs every time I mentioned the reduction in costs I said “and it would be crazy for a new management to reduce the squad costs after winning the title”. Apparently Elliott think otherwise and are ok with a 30-40m drop in squad costs again. I thought that was unimaginable at the time but I always prefaced my expectation with that disclaimer. The money is there, I just expected them to spend it. Everyone else was saying we’re poor and broke, and that’s definitely not the case. We’re just stingy.

Let’s hope RedBird loosen the strings a bit and start with renewing Bennacer and Leao. Maldini renewing was a good sign that he believes in them and that they’ve promised him to do things right. We’ll see.

Wow - I really did not expect this

I was branded crybaby from the start so when you said it earlier I took it as a badge of honour but thanks for showing up and showing out

What a match to start this YES deal. Time slot is not too shabby either. Get ready for more Muricans in here.
Americans are going to go through the whole phase of calling us “AC” and asking “which Milan” when you say Milan. I hope they’re educated appropriately, I cannot explain this to anymore people for the rest of my life

I'm not going to entertain that but its really telling when all I did was state what happened and that ruffled him so much to post that nonsense just because another poster agreed it happened similar to how I said it.

Oh well ......

Fan tier list:

- Casual: Follow a team when they’re doing well, know 4-5 top players. Walk away in the lean years (no one here)

- Invested: Know the entire starting lineup, plus a few subs. Might even know the name of the coach. Probably didn’t survive the banter years but followed results from far away

- Enthusiastic: Emotional connect with the team. At this stage, the typical enthusiastic fan tends to start forming a dislike towards rival teams and may even read the odd tactics article. Most fans remain at this stage forever

- All in: The all in fan thinks they’re a super fan, but they’re really not. They have a working understanding of tactics and finance but still make elementary mistakes such as talking about transfer budgets and ignoring defensive schemes when making dream formations. At this stage, all in fans tend to develop a superiority complex over less invested fans. They also think that they know better then the coach.

- Ultra fan: This is your ultimate fan, which makes up the majority of online fan forums. Their obsession with the club burns bright and has a deep effect on their emotional well being. Names of a dozen agents can be rattled off in their sleep. Wage and amortization numbers are at their fingertips. They take great joy in intricate tactical movements as well as other off field issues that make up the fabric of the club. Ultra fans hold nothing back. They are what makes certain football clubs special, while their absence is what creates a mediocre fan base

Calhanoglu spoke at the press conference on the eve of Inter’s Champions League match against Bayern Munich and he was asked for his reaction to the loss against the Rossoneri.

“The derby is over, I don’t want to talk about it anymore because it bothers me. It’s painful, I know, but it’s over,” he said (via MilanNews).

I actually think (and read somewhere) that if Elliott hadn't sold the club they would have invested more in this transfer market session. It's logical they didn't do so since they were selling the club. The acquisition by Redbird came at a very bad time mercato wise.

I actually like it when other fans call us by the our whole name AC Milan. It just sounds better than if we were named FC Milan, but it's quite annoying when they just call us by "AC". It's like calling Barcelona by "FC". Then "Milan" is the correct name to call.

That's possible given the Botman links. It doesn't make sense to target a 30 mil defender where the club is already good unless the budget would be at least 80-100 mil.
