Removing all price consideration though Darwin is a far better fit in my opinion than Scammaca but some of you keep talking like Scammaca is a great fit when really he is just a better fit for our pocket.
Scamacca is just a pretty good Ibra tribute band. I personally really like Ibra's style of play. It is a unique combination.

Darwin would be huge, but the costs will be astronomical, but I really think that our RW and CAM choices will dictate what sort of striker is best suited.

Chelsea had to because Real Barca and Utd were 'king' and they had to break into the club

#vicious cycle.
Also: Abramovich was starting his charm offensive to protect himself, it seems he is about to start a legal war over the money owed to him over Chelsea.

Milan fan and financial expert Felice Raimondo has published a thread on Twitter which presents his understanding of the situation and what it means that the club are now set to be bought by RedBird and not Investcorp.

“We will never know why the negotiation with InvestCorp was fell apart, but the disappointment for me lies in the fact that the Arab fund, given the contacts, could have brought related sponsors and therefore quickly increased revenues. Faster and less risky solution from a UEFA standpoint,” he began.

“Il Sole24Ore speaks of problems for the ‘earn out’ clauses, which is an additional amount to be paid to the seller once certain targets are reached (stadium? sporting results?). In any case, RedBird have consented to these clauses, closing the deal.

“Elliott, a fund that evaluates the best gain for its investors (above all things), according to rumours have ticked off the best conditions. That is, to sell at a high starting figure, remain as a minority shareholder and tomorrow earn even more with the stadium deal.

“That said, we certainly do not end up in bad hands. In fact, RedBird is a fund that specialises in sports and has much more experience in this area than InvestCorp. However, in the absence of related sponsors, the growth of revenues (and of the team) cannot be sudden but gradual.

“This means that Elliott’s work with similar methodologies will continue. Singer, however, will have the advantage getting a return on his investment immediately, if he remains in the minority, he will lose less money in the future (aum. of capital) and will get more when we have the stadium.

“From this point of view, if with InvestCorp – given the proportions, the activities and the contacts of the fund – we could imagine a Milan-only stadium, with RedBird I do not think it will happen. So for me the shared process with Inter will continue, we will see if in San Siro or elsewhere.

“In conclusion, the club will continue to be managed very well, if possible with more competence than before. The hope is to be able to get closer to a reality like that of Liverpool today in a decade.”

too many great players to list but if pushed all time favorite player: Maldini
People let’s focus on Sunday two days to the scudetto show down. Milan’s first scudetto since 2011.

After Milan are crowned champions we can dissect the pro and cons of the potential buyers of the club.

Enjoy and savour the potential outcome of Sunday evening. Forza Milan, Forza Scudetto!

I imagine Elliott values a post-stadium Milan at more than Chelsea, because it would not have the encumbered stadium. It would probably value a post CL winning Milan at over 3.
The only thing Chelsea has over us is premier league revenue. This can honestly be made up with commercial deals, but it will take some time.

In every other way, the Milan brand, fanbase, global reach and revenue potential is eons above Chelsea.

Chelsea is valued at roughly a 5x revenue multiple, Milan can honestly go higher than that because of the power of the brand.

Exciting times ahead, Resbird is going to look at a 3+ billion valuation as your said, which can only be achieved through one way: on field success. Wins, trophies, global stars.

Speculation is China is taking defensive measures in the event of sanctions, similar to Russia, if they invade Taiwan
Well, Zhangs also owe a lot of people a lot of money in China.

When he posted a post on Chinese social media celebrating Inda's Coppa victory, all the top replies were the former Suning players who are still owed salaries from over a year ago asking him to pay them back

Reports over 6 months of negotiations, that would explain our January market.

If Redbird wins, I think Elliott leaked shit about Investcorp to undermine them, and pushed Redbird to raise their price. I didn't think Elliott would do that, but, looking at it now? It seems like Elliott undercut Investcorp, and Investcorp didn't want to raise their offer.

Because the approach adopted doesn't aim for silverware, Elliot didn't aim for the Scudetto this year and that is clear by the lack of investment. They just wanted top 4 finish. The only reason Milan is in the Scudetto race is that the competition is exceptionally shit

I think going forward it will be Juve's to lose, they will have the deepest pockets in Italy and the willingness to spend

Because Milan won't get there signing "Moneyball" approved Belottis meanwhile Juve are signing Vlahovices
Yet here we are, on the brink of the first title in a decade.

To say we only won it because others have been shit is such a pathetic thing to say. At the start of the season many were saying Milan weren't even in the race for CL, because of all the top coaches that were back in Serie A. Mourinho, Allegri, etc. We on and we deserved it and we will keep on winning because we're building a core and a system that we will keep improving and building on. It doesn't mean Belotti is the peak, he's just an opportunity. We build long term with players like Tonali, Theo, Leao and Tomori. This year we're adding Botman and Renato. Next year we add a CF. Then we upgrade as needed. That's how you build a machine of a team, like Liverpool have done.

I'm really surprised you don't see it yet. To think that Juve are doing better because they signed Vlahovic? Fuck Vlahovic, what's he going to do in a broken team? Origi with the machine around him is going to do just as well for less than a fifth of the cost.

Maybe I'm just dwelling in disappointment

Milan has the advantage atm, a strong and modern squad and management+approach

I fear Juve with deeper pockets will adopt a similar approach and frankly, it will be difficult to compete with their resources with mighty RedBird
Juve? The team that's about to get Perisic and Di Maria? Are you kidding me?

Elliott is famously ruthless capitalist even amongst funds. They are certainly capable of using all tricks in the books. In fact, their pleasant tenure with Milan is more surprising to me.

Im very dissappointed that investcorp not buying the club, and i dont think elliot is selling to redbird because they are better, but possibly because it represent a better offer to them.

Totally agree, the global reach of Milan is gigantic.

I think inflated sponsorships from Arab dealmaking a la PSG and City allows your team to do well, like Chelsea, but it hurts the core competence of your football club. Only City is run in a way that is sophisticated from those clubs.

Real, with the media circus being central to how they do things, they handle their economic stuff right. Investcorp was one of the few Arab sources that I would want to own Milan.

I disagree with Italian sources thinking it will take us a decade to catch Liverpool. I think we can do it in 3 years, sporting wise. Economically? The growth has been impressive, and to match EPL teams will take a stadium, so 7 years?

Comolli is the ex-Arsenal, Spurs + Liverpool Director so the fact that RedBird put him in charge of Ligue 2 Toulouse PROVES they aren’t cheap.

And i answered that numbers arent everything.
If they were then Berardi is a better winger than Leao.

I celebrate Origi because his style suit our need for a ST & we need two of those.
And we need a higher profile RW so the fact Origi is free allow us to allocate more funds for that RW.
Lastely for 30-40 am sure we can get a much better player than Berardi.
Numbers are everything when it comes to a striker. How he suits us, when we need someone who can score 20+ goals a season?

Now when it comes to leao and berardi you can talk about their playingstyle since they both have the numbers. And also one is 28 and the other is 23.

This came down to price, I think it is pretty simple. Investcorp did the PR work by giving fans dreams, which I they could have pulled off, but I think what Redbird and/or Elliott thought would appeal to fans (Billy Beane! Moneyball!) as their PR, that angle didn't work, which seems they are missing--fans don't marvel at Moneyball when they are fans of a club like Milan. Even me, who loves being smarter in transfers, still wants some gold letters from time to time.

It should be ugly.

people here dont understand each other.
I talk that redshit is bad for future IF WE WANT TO FIGHT FOR BEST.
iF we want JUST TO be 4th place team then ok.
Why this season is different is that printer and jube lost so many games and fact that maldini made solid team +pioli managet that in great way.
But still we have krunic as am and messias as rw and oli as cf .
If we had the same points total as we did the last few years, then you'd have a point. But we're on track for a record points total for Milan.

If we win on Sunday it will be 86 points. It's really sad that a Milan fan is discounting how amazingly well we've played this year. We beat all the big teams. We deserve to win on merit. Fuck this 'serie A was shit' mentality. No, we won because we were good.

Isn't there an element of collective effort on the part of the whole of Serie A to make this even tangible?

I mean, sure we lead the way, but for us to be able to tap into those types of revenue streams I think the entire italian package has to be enhanced and made more attractive to more than an Italian audience and RnB.

Here’s something to distract you from ownership

AC Milan are tempted by the idea of making a move for Alvaro Morata who should leave Juventus once his loan there is over
Will this be Jonah Hill's RedBird's first act as new owners? Is this who their Excel file said would represent the best ROI? FOH

He is their guy who runs Toulouse and they seem to have a lot of faith in him. I think he's great at finding random French targets from time to time, but he is a hack once you get past midtable Ligue 1 expectations.
I know of him from the Prem. I see he runs Toulouse but I didn’t know how close they are with him and if they really value him at top club level

Yes, on merit.

If the other teams (Inter and Juventus) lost like @patosheva says, doesn't it mean Serie A quality is better because top teams aren't steamrolling all the weaker teams (see PSG most of the last decade and Bayern)? I'd say the league was weaker if we steamrolled everyone. But it's the opposite, the league has been mostly very competitive.
