3. Origi (barely)

Also props to Messias, who atleast tried, even though it's obvious he's out of his league.

P.S. See a lot of votes for Tonali, he was pretty bad except for a couole of runs. Second goal is on him, and it's not the first time this season he's at fault for those.

Hmm...let's see

Maignan: No heroics or howlers.

Calabria: Pathetic, but he shouldn't be marking Dzeko on corners(and he wasn't supposed to, but Dzeko easily got rid of Tomori).

Kjaer: Choked. The most disappointing player of the night.

Tomori: This is what happens when your severe concentration problems go untreated. He needs amphetamine.

Theo: Another player that needs amphetamine.

Tonali: He has the defensive awareness of an attacker and he tries to make up for it with energy( sometimes he doesn't even do that, as seen on the 2nd goal). Strong determination and very good on the ball in the first 30 mins or so in the 2nd half though.

Krunic: The ability to read the game and balance things out is perhaps his biggest strength. But tonight it looked like he didn't even know which page he should be reading.

Bennacer: Left early, but he was crap in those few minutes. Spent too much time on the ball and had too much faith in Giroud's targetman ability, which was a strong factor in the 2nd goal.

Diaz: Poor touches, wrong decisions, falls too easily. GBTRW though.

Saele: Sometimes he was acting like he's holding up the ball for Leao to make a run. Other times he was acting like he's the Leao who'll create chances single-handedly. None of it worked.

Giroud: His game outside the box is mostly about winning fouls, rather than actually trying to win the duels and do something with the ball, which is why the refs rarely whistle in his favor. He rarely heads it in the right direction or to the right player once he wins an aerial duel and this can have catastrophic implications as seen in the 2nd goal.

Messias: Way out of his depth.

Origi: Replaced the wrong player but was perhaps the only one who seemed ready for such a massive game.

Alrighty then..

Top 3:
1. Origi
2. Maignan
3. Tonali (it feels wrong to give him a Top 3 spot considering how awful he was in the 1st half but he had some great moments at least, which can't be said about the others)
