and IMO against teams like Manchester/Jube/Inter coming in the next month, I'd rather have oddo/zambrotta starting.

Oddo defended Kaká well, this season, I remember. Don't know what Antonini and Abate will do against great player, maybe they don't even know themselves what to do.

We had Genoa under our grip most of the time, so our defense had not a lot to do, but still they managed to score a few times. We cannot do that against a big team with that defense.

We managed to beat Real Madrid, a strong team, with Zambrotta and Oddo.

I really dont know why we r even discussing Anto's + Abate's status when both easily had more good games this season than Oddo + Zambro even while playing lesser games.
Unless its a tactical decision , Anto + Abate should start ahead of Zambro or Oddo based of performance.
Am very proud of Leo 4 doin the obvious.

Im very proud of leo because of the results hes getting with the squad he has, I can only imagine how strong Milan would be if he had the players he wanted.

exactly, those 2 step it up against strong opposition, they aren't anyone's ideal FB choices, but you have to play your safest bets.

I agree completely. Leonardo is doing an awesome job. His first season as coach, so not only the squad, but also he will improve. Future might be bright with him.

At least, I hope that the squad will improve...

Agree Antonini had a good game today, sometimes he is able to make nice runs BUT he can give to the team very labilty.. he's 27 and has 0 CHAMPION mentality, which is important factor for a player to perform on high stages. I see very normal when a coach gives more preference to an experienced player but yeah even youngers should have their minutes to prove their worth eventhough the coach and staff see them everyday in training and know better than us ;).

I agree chances should be given to all players, but its clear that Antonini isnt good enough to be a starter, I mean ok he played well against the crap genoa based teams, chievo, parma and zurich, but what happened when he played against flair skillfull opponents like Miccoli and cavani from Palermo? total failure comes to mind.

Abate on the other hand can improve but the guy is too aggresive to be a RB, whenever hes near the penalty box I worry too much.

and IMO against teams like Manchester/Jube/Inter coming in the next month, I'd rather have oddo/zambrotta starting.

I don't know where you're getting all that stuff about Antonini from, the guy has only played a handfull of games this season, and hardly ever played last season. Injuries and who knows what has kept him out of the squad completly for almost a year. He had a hard time against Palermo, but alot of players struggled there, Pato was dreadful, but I don't really think that says anything about how he plays against Man Utd/Juve etc. Where do you get it from that he would get slaughtered against these? He's never played against any of them, at least from what I've seen.

His performance today was a performance I think even Maldini would be happy with. He had two assists, and didn't let anyone through, pretty much as good as it gets. He's extremely fast, has good technique and a good cross and most importantly, he seems to work well with Ronaldinho. In my opinion based on his few performances this season, and the few he had last season, I think he's good enough to start as LB for us.

And the part about Jankulovski being 10X better than him is just rubbish. Jankulovski made SO many mistakes for us last season. He's always been good going forward, but I can't really think of many players worse at defending. That should only be Abate though who in my opinion has no buisness starting at RB for us. Zambrotta/Antonini, that's who I'd chose.

haha thats not the case, I really lost hope when it comes to full backs, people are happy with the likes of antonini which is depressing compared to serginho/maldini and hell even janku who is x10 the player antonini is were starting for us a few years ago.

Serginho was a beast at going forward as he is fast and off course had that brazilian flare but he is pretty average on defending..
people here just want to appreciate what Anto did for the team, he works his ass off the best way he can.. stop comparing and give the guy a credit when he plays well ..
no one here are saying anto is the best FB in the world:o

Finally got to watch my recording of this game. Damn that was awesome. Such class from dinho to offer the penalty to becks and then becks insisting that Hunt take it. :proud:

I love this team.

..then ambro took the ball from dinho hands and give it to hunt.

from what i saw, becks had it and looked like he was trying to give it back to dinho who wanted becks to take it, then ambro came and took it and gave it to hunt

I would've been happy with becks taking it, but I think hunt needed it more.

Concerning antonini, he's not a great defender but I think his speed in attacks helped our win today. Normally our attacks are pretty slow for the most part.

Are Borriello and Ambrosini still not Milan quality? Niff Nuffs.

We looked more balanced today which was rare.
Beckham adapted well, as if he hadn't left.
Antonini was excellent. He is maturing.
Ambrosini had the best game I've ever seen him play especially in attack.
Borriello... time for a recall to the National team!

Also it was an intelligent bit of coaching from Leonardo if it was his decision to allocate Huntelaar for the third penalty. Would help ease the pressure off his shoulders.

it wasn't him who allocated it? I thought Ronaldinho let Beckham have it, and the mighty becks let huntelaar have it?

There was a bit of discussion around there. I don't know who made the final decision, but it was a good one. It displayed the respect they have for Huntelaar in his current situation.

Ronnie gave it to Becks, Becks was a gentleman and said "I don't want it." and tried to give it back to Ronnie, Ambro stepped in and gave it to Hunt.

That's what it looked like from what I saw.

You would find many disagree, but it's nice to know you've got some sense.

i totally disagree, Ambrosini has always been Milan quality. Any player who would DIE for the Milan shirt is always Milan quality and Ambrosini has always done this for us. He never pulls out of a tackle, pops up with goals on quite a regular basis, wins all the "dirty ball" around the middle, and is always the first man to back up his team-mates if any of them get in trouble.. Ambro is a Milan star.

Man im loving this Milan team, i love how we play and i love our players. Im so happy im saying this right now as last august when Kaka went and Paolo was finished i was in despair of my team, now i couldnt be happier! i love Milan and cant wait for 2 weeks time to go to the San Siro for the derby!

Forza Milan-Win for us :proud:

Borriello looked pretty sexy with his popped collar after he put his jersey back on. Anyone know what kind of base layer that was that he was wearing?
