Poor Ibra, working like a horse on a farm this season.

Play Boateng the last 20-25 mins because He needs some minutes before Barca.

Boateng back for Milan-Roma
By Football Italia staff

Milan have Kevin-Prince Boateng, Alessandro Nesta and Mark Van Bommel back in the squad to face Roma on Saturday.

Boateng has barely played in 2012 due to a series of back and muscular injuries, but makes his return to the Rossoneri side.

Nesta and Van Bommel also end their spells on the treatment table, although the injury crisis does still drag on.

Maxi Lopez, Alexandre Pato, Pippo Inzaghi, Rodney Strasser, Ignazio Abate, Antonio Cassano and Mathieu Flamini are all unavailable.

Left-back Luca Antonini is suspended for tomorrow’s Serie A clash.

This means that Stephan El Shaarawy and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are the only available strikers.

A look back at Milan v Roma- Paolo's Farewell at San Siro written by me

Friday, March 23rd, 2012 | Posted by Sachin Madaan
AC Milan 2-3 AS Roma (THT Rewind) – Ultras And Roma Mar Paolo Maldini’s San Siro Farewell

On 24th May 2009, one of the most beloved sons of Milan, Paolo Maldini, played his final match against A.S. Roma at San Siro, a turf which had been his home for nearly twenty-five years.
An impenetrable San Siro welcomed their 40-year-old captain for one last time all set to give him a grand farewell, which he thoroughly deserved, but Roma and Milan Ultras had some other plans.
Both the teams had half chances in the first thirty minutes but nothing substantial came out of both the team’s build up plays. In the 35th minute, the Giallorossi opened the scoring through John Arne Risse who drilled his trademark free kick into the top left corner of Nelson Dida’s goal as the veteran keeper dived in vain.
Milan pressed hard for the equalizer in the second half and had to wait till 75th minute when Ambrosini managed to restore the parity as the ball fell at his feet after Inzaghi’s shot got rebounded from Artur’s body. Roma took the lead for the second time just after five minutes as Menez and Risse ran through the defence of Milan and Menez slotted in Roma’s second with just ten minutes of stipulated time left on the clock.

The Rossoneri were just not ready to give in and sixty-five seconds later, from Kaka’s cross Ambrosini tapped in his and Milan’s second goal to bring back his side on level terms. But Roma’s captain Francesco Totti who had a pretty ordinary game by his standards till the 85th minute, ruined the farewell of Maldini as he scored for the visitors after his free kick picked up a wicked deflection from Milan’s wall and landed in the goal leaving everyone in the stadium heart-broken.
Later, Ambrosini blotted his performance after he picked up his second yellow two minutes from time and was sent off due to excessive protesting as Milan was denied a rather controversial penalty appeal.
The match finally finished 2-3 in favour of the Giallorossi, but everybody in the stadium was on their feet, applauding the legend who had just played his last match in the famous red and black stripes.
If a defeat in his last game was not enough, Maldini also got jeered by a group of shameful Milan Ultras while taking his final lap of honour around the pitch. They hung up several posters in Curva Sud which roughly translated into “Thanks captain. On the pitch you were an undying champion but you had no respect for those who made you rich”. Another one read “For your 25 years of glorious service you have the thanks of those who you called mercenaries and misers”.
Although this memorable round 37 clash of the 2008-09 season went in the favour of Roma, it had no affect on the scudetto as by that time it was already decided that Inter would be crowned the champions. But come this Saturday, a similar result will go a long way in eating into Milan’s four point advantage at the top over Juventus, something which Milan just cannot afford.

The med team has been a piece of shit since for ever. 2008 seems too generous for them. Pay attention to what they are doing because when they decide to take a player to the states for serious care that means they are giving up on covering the problems which they cannot do anything about.

Thanks!

Yeah, it's on the first page but goal.com has it on the 25, so I got confused.

Have you forgotten about Seedorf being an attacker too?

I don't think we should risk T. Silva; put Sandro in, he's back.

I wouldn't mind playing Prince, he needs match fitness.

Urby as LB so that he gets accostumed to that role again, he'll be playing there against Barca and a fast Sanchez on the right.

I really hope there will be no injuries against Roma - we really need all the players we can get.

Does anyone of you know when Pato is returning? He's travelling to the US for further checks I've heard. We need him for the return leg at Camp Nou.

Maxi another fucking wimp of a player ffs. I am sick of this shit, constant injuries every week lol. Either we get a new fitness coach or just fire the whole milan lab. Our players spend more time in the clinic recovering than on field except ibra and silva. Thank god, ibra and silva manage to stay fit all season otherwise we would get raped v barca.

I usually called the injuries just bad luck but even Maxi who has been here for two months is having his second injury.
