For every good thing he does, he also does a bad thing to cancel it out.
He's terrific at running down the wing and dribbling beating his man, tracking back etc. Hopefully his timing and decision-making will improve with experience, that's what he's lacking.

For now he'll bomb down the wing dribble past 2 players and then pass it straight to their centreback or blast it 5 metres over the crossbar.

He had a really good run around 36th minute and some good dribbles, but lacking end product. Sometimes he makes a great move and then checks-out mentally and delivers a shit pass, like he did for Salad's run on the counter in the 2nd half.

He can beat his man consistently which is good.. but after that it?s mostly complete shit. He gets like 1-2 things right out of 10. Venezia is a piss poor team so they couldn?t create opening from lost balls by us but better teams will punish.

Leao really needs to work a lot to improve. Deffo has potential though

I think he is doing good at defending now which makes him a bit invisible in attacking phase. But the fact that he is learning to defend is good because soon he will be good at both phases

I can't take more games like the 0-0 Cagliari.

The CF-less 11 didn't have enough quality, experience or chemistry to break through them on 2nd gear, and they never upped the tempo, even though Venezia were clearly very vulnerable whenever the game intensified.

Leao delivered a random mix of brilliance and idiocy.
Rebic failed as a targetman and sometimes played like he had a big striker next to him.
Brahim was lost until Theo's introduction.

We really need Giroud or Ibra back next time we face these type of opposition.
Thankfully Spezia aren't like typical provincial Italian teams.
I think I would prefer Rebic pressing upfront and spearheading our counter-attacks even if Ibra was available.

I liked us before the 1-0. We were a little toothless upfront but it never felt like we wouldn't score. The fourteen minutes between the two goals were our worst in the game where we looked disjointed and Venezia could have created something dangerous if they had a little bit more quality/energy. But three subs at the same time with two of them in the defensive line can make you look line that.

This looked nothing like the Cagliari game.
