Yeah

I should be happy that we blew a comfortable lead while playing like shit and like we have no clue whatsoever.

Im happy with the late goal but lets not pretend that fixes the absolute shitshow that we watch again for the umpteenth time.

I dont care if we dont play beautiful football. But to play like we dont have any fucking clue every fucking game is what pisses me off.

I mean, this is the level of football you are supposed to expect after spending 200m+ on reinforcing the team?

And no, this isnt a team gelling issue either. There has been fuck all improvement in how we play with the same issues every single game. And this is what, like the 10th game we have played already?. Not to mention majority of the team was bought in early EXACTLY to avoid this and give them plenty of time.

THIS :star:

What the team should have done, right after winning, at the center circle.

Gotta hand it to Juve though, make us spend 40+ huge wages on bonucci, change the formation to the one which clearly isn't working and spend the funds for players that we actually needed on him. Just give roma and musa chance to play in a 4 man defense.

We have the players to play possession football, and the formation, and yet we chase shadows and make absolutely no inroads.

The only tactical thing I would take away from this game, and it goes for the whole season, is the complete lack of pressing this team does. I truly don't understand it. The possession and high backline, I'm ok with that. It's how the team is built to play on offense. But Montella has to accompany that style of play with higher pressure. Otherwise, with a backline playing that high and that spread out, they will always let players in behind. As soon as Milan loses the ball they should quickly get closer together, this team has serious spacing issues. I even understand fitness concerns, we play a lot of games close together. But Montella could always opt for allegri style switching between pressing and laying off. The bottom line is the lines are too far apart and it's just asking for the defense to be exposed.

Add on to that note, I think we have a lot of players who should be comfortable chasing the ball. Kalinic has a great work ethic, and I think silva and cutrone could follow him in that regard. Hakan came from fucking Leverkusen and is very used to defending high up the field. Biglia has experience playing as the deepest mid in an aggressive pressing team, and Kessie is perfectly built to play a role in that kind of team. Idk if it's tactics or laziness but Milan is far too easy on the other team when we lose the ball

We're like a kitchen full of great ingredients... only that very few of them match. With a mediocre chef like Montella everything ends up tasting like curry chicken pizza or Shawarma ice cream

I remember the good old days when a certain Carlo Ancelotti made a team of seemingly ill fitting pieces....like...I dunno three CAM's play in one midfield ;)

If Bonucci was always a fraud, does that mean all of Juventus's players are frauds?

Dybala, if he moved here, would be no better than Suso? Mandzukic no better than Borini?

I mean, that's the logic.

We're clearly not in good form for many reasons, some more clear and pressing than others.

Bonucci has clearly been worse than romagnoli.

This is without doubt.

He's been our worst player along with Suso.

Only difference is that Bonucci causes us to concede goals while Suso prevents us from scoring them.

But that's not fair, as Suso was good at the start of the season. As bad as Suso since the formation change, otherwise unequalled in being shit.

I am still fairly confident in romagnoli and bonucci. They've been terrible but I fully expect them to bounce back sooner or later. I'm guessing Montella has been banking on more quality from them and I don't blame them, but they have proven themselves for years and their quality will show.

Whole defense sucked that game and was a joke to be honest. even donnarumma looked bad at that pen. So looking for scapegoats is useless in a collective failure like this. Montella is bad for his pussy tactics but the team failed this time to put effort and being too passive

Not as much as our esteemed captain tho

Oh my bad. You were the one who was dying for us to sign Captain Awesome and blow our cash on him instead of what was needed even more.

Bonucci = proven player at the highest level.

romangoli = clown hyped by commoders

Bonucci is off form atm but that's due to him playing with a bunch of clowns and the biggest clown is the coach.

absolute zero regret about signing bonucci, romastori for 25 million tho? lol

Bonucci and Romagnoli have been very worrying, honestly. I'm on the more optimistic side, but they have disappointed.

Romagnoli, he's young, fine, whatever. But Bonucci? Today he was solid until that mistake, same with Romagnoli to be honest, but you pay that much for Bonucci for those sorts of mistake to not happen.

he only caused tonight's goal, and where were mustang and romangoli to cover for him? romangoli is slower than a parked truck.

zapata was the disaster last game, in case you're thinking it was bonucci's fault.

Lol

He has been fuckin shite almost every game and had atleas had ine major fuckup.

Bonucci at Romas age was even worse than how Roma is playing now.

People tend to forget that Bonucci was once considered the joke of Juves team. And at ths moment he is pretty much playing like his 21 yr old self.

Bonucci has been a huge disappointment.. playing like he did with juve before allegri became their coach. 1 error per match.

But I really hope his bad form is because of montellas awful tactics... or else we will regret why we didn’t use the bonucci money on a winger.

As for suso... i have no idea what happened to him

 You clearly have no idea. Bonucci at Romagnoli's age was one of the best defenders in the league with Bari.

Bonucci = proven player at the highest level.

the only thing him and his juve back line have proven over the last 5 seasons, is whenever they've come up against attacks of the highest level, more often than not Bonucci and co have folded.

Meant around Roma's age. Stop denying that he was a joke at the beginning when he moved to Juve.

He got hyped for his passing but his poor defensive skills always got masked by Barzagli and Chiellini.

Difference is, at Milan he is the most experienced defender and his poor defensive skills are now highlighted all og a sudden. And its not just some simple errors either, its straight up Serie B level defending.
