If Higuain leaves, I personally wouldn't concerned about optics. I couldn't care less about how it looks. We have a tendency to overemphasize the importance of moments like this one (if it comes to pass). In the broader historical record, Bonucci and Higuain will be blips. Our ten-year anonymity a bigger one undoubtedly. I am just concerned about getting back to being us.

I mean Juve are a juggernaut now, but a little over a decade ago they were relegated for match-fixing. I mean is anything more shameful than that? Maybe their record in CL finals?

And then there's Inter whose entire history reads like a parody of what a big club should be.

I'd rather bring back Andre Silva from his loan than spend 40+ on Piatek.

Maybe he becomes the next great Polish striker, but man, it's a huge risk. Also, I've heard Polish people who watch him a lot say he's not that great. Maybe when your standards are Lewandowski most strikers will look bad, but I dunno man.
