Beckham has more assists. I am 99.9% certain. Will try and prove it with stats. If I'm wrong, however, I will humbly apologise.

Where have you proved anything besides posting the same old biased view point? It's obvious you're a Beckham fan... I'm not.

So why on earth are you arguing with me??? Go argue with someone who says Beckham is a better midfielder.

That's exactly what you're trying to say. That's he better than Pirlo.

Yet Cannavaro wins the golden ball

Pirlo was named man of the match three times in the world cup. Use your head, not your emotions.

Can't dribble (although there was this one game against Madrid where he dribbled past Roberto Carlos and dropped a few jaws). Is slow. Can't head. Can't tackle. However, he IS an assist machine. There is no denying. And all this because of his pin point crossing. And there are VERY few equals when it comes to his freekicks.

Thus without these traits he's going to be sitting on the bench most of the time at Milan.

Winning the treble is complete Garbage? Why? Because Milan has never won it?

Milan doesn't have to. Milan has won far more other trophies than that. Yep, the treble is irrelevant to me. What do we have to win too? The Coppa Italia? Come on now.

You do realise I'm not Beckham right? ;)

You realize that point was not directed at you, but it was a generalization.

Better freekicker? YES. Better Crosser? YES. An Assist machine? YES. Better player? Not in a million years.

Debatable at best.

OMG did you say Pirlo is the better crosser  Becks had made his FAME on being the best corsser in the UNIVERSE.......Juninho might be better or as good on free kicks but crossing?? :conf: Becks crosses look like striker-seeking missiles

Well this is coming from the guy who said Quaresma is the best player in the whole wide world... We know who we can trust on this one... :head: Your logic is a bit screwy.

I think that Becks is far better crosser and free kick taker than Pirlo will ever be. Mihajlovic, Roberto Carlos, Becks, and I will mention Ian Harte too are all better free kick takers than Pirlo.

i'd throw junihno, ronaldinho (free kicks not crosses), and possibly CR7 (definatewly last season,we'll see if he sustains it, or he just had a great run of form)

Hasn't done anything since he was at Leeds, and he wasn't that fantastic at Leeds for free kicks. I'd also say Sneijder and Ronaldinho are better at FK's

You guys Forgot R.V.P, when it comes to Free-Kick:head:

I don't know what to think about this Move...
As long, as it brings good money in..I will not be the one complaining, and it's not like if he comes/or doesn't that Cardi will actually get a chance in the Serie A.

Lets not forget his goals for national team which means that he's better than Pirlo.

In the past 3 years, no one in my school (besides me) has ever brought up Milan in a conversation.
In the past 3 days, about 10 people asked me about the Beckham to Milan move.

AC Milan says deal for Beckham not done yet

MILAN, Italy -- David Beckham's deal with AC Milan is "at an advanced stage" but not yet done, club vice president Adriano Galliani said.

Milan wants to sign Beckham to a loan deal that would allow the Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder and former England captain to play in Italy's Serie A for a few months starting in January.

"The deal is not done yet. We have to define everything with his lawyers and the Galaxy," Galliani told Conto TV before Thursday's UEFA Cup match with Heerenveen. "I'm confident but it is absolutely not closed."

With the Major League Soccer season in the United States nearly over, Beckham is eager to join another club in Europe so he can remain match-fit and keep his place on England's squad for World Cup qualifying.

England coach Fabio Capello has said he will not pick players who are not active, and Galliani appeared to suggest that the midfielder could stay in Italy beyond the term of the original deal.

"We will have time in the upcoming weeks to go over the deal in full agreement with the Galaxy," Galliani said. "We don't want to undermine the Californian club. The deal is under way and at an advanced stage but it's absolutely not concluded. I don't want to be a pessimist but I can't guarantee something that is not guaranteed."

I think having Beckham in the team is a good idea.

Reasons:
1)More Media + Airing rights.
My local tv station doesn't air Serie A matches,
because the marketing person who is in charge of buying sports shows feels that it has no market in Singapore. However everyone in my country knows Beckham even those aunties who doesn't watch football knows about him. There is a high chance my local tv station may buy Serie A show just because of Beckham.

2)Freekick Specialist.
Pirlo basically suck at freekick, the only reason why he is our freekick specialist, because everyone in our team is suckier. After Rui left, we really don't have any real solid freekick specialist. But now we got Ronaldinho, do we really need another freekick specialist? Well I guess having one more doesn't hurt.

3)Pirlo and our midfielders is geting complacent.
Due to fame and lack of competition in midfield, our midfielder are getting more and more complacent, there is no motivation and improvement , the only time we got motivated is when we got trash for 2 or 3 straight games.
Adding Beckham and Ronaldinho in the team will make our Midfielder works even harder to fight for the place. We all knows Seeforf is our no.10 but does he really deserve it? Well he got to work harder now to prove himself.

4)We are doing England a favour by training their Captain,
Football is about friendship too :D
Beckham have a special position in the English Team,
We would love to make use of him to build up a better relationship with England. This will benefit us in getting good Potention English Players.

Anybody who is telling me that Beckham is better than Pirlo overall really knows nothing about this sport. :head: Beckham is NOT better than Pirlo.

Look... I'm not against Beckham coming to Milan. I'm not for it either. Just indifferent... as long as he doesn't cause any problems with how our squad is connecting right now.

Giancarlo please read my posts carefully :) I never said that Beckham is better than Pirlo. All I said is that Becks is better free kick taker and better crosser.

The first time I had ever heard of Becks was when he became a Spice boy; was he a front page prince before that or did that happen after he got Spicy?

I think he's a good player, not the best ever or anything; I just wonder what impact he would have had on football across the globe if he hadn't been married Posh or to some other fellow celeb.

Beckham-Mania Grips Milan
Beckham-mania has hit Milan after the club's ticket line, switchboard and website went down on Thursday morning following the news of David Beckham's January arrival...

The Via Turati club was inundated with calls and requests from fans around the world as to when exactly Beckham will join the club.

There were also requests for when club jerseys with the players name and number will be released and fans are already in the Italian city having 'Beckham' printed on their shirts.

Reports around the peninsula also suggest that the demand in tickets at the club has increased ahead of the midfielder's arrival.

The Englishman is expected to join the club in the new year on a four month loan deal.

Meanwhile, Milan are in Holland as they prepare for the clash against Heerenveen later tonight.

Andriy Shevchenko and Filippo Inzaghi should start up front and Clarence Seedorf will take Mathieu Flamini's place in midfield.

I heard Capello may have had a hand in this all... as he wants Beckham to train more. And lets face it... LA Galaxy vs AC Milan.. lol.. amateur vs professionals.

And why not :) Becks is far from finished, and the fact that Don Fabio wants him in the national team tells it all ;)

i think capello said he wouldnt receive a recall unless he was playing. rumor is owen may follow him to italy too. Genoa/sampdoria trying to make a move for owen.

personally i think english need to move abroad to prove there worth. epl is strong, but i'm curiious if lampard or gerrard (for ex) could hold up in spain or italy. The way spaniards and italians move abroad, english need to do as well, or else there national team will never go far. capello has been saying that

Lol... this is unlikely, but maybe we could people in England becoming fans of Italian teams... I know we have one Villa fan on here who is also a Milan fan...

I'd like to see more English players in Italy... Michael Owen needs a change of scenary... Newcastle never did justice to him.

well done ronaldinho

Cool.

I like this.. cool that Lazio has a strong increase too.

AC Milan... 66.575, change... 17,5%
Merda... 45.786, change... -10,6% LOL!
Juventus FC... 21.623, change... 3,3%

Juve has a very low turn-out... it's shockingly bad. And if Merda is declining that's important.
