If our management had some brain they would firstly invest in long term anchor solution instead of getting Traore, Constant, Muntari, extending Flamini etc. If Kaka comes than definitely this, but considering Ambros age realiable anchor is more than needed too, but I would rather see him than Flamini or Traore atm.

I would like to replace Ambro with Monty, and put someone else at LCM like Constant or Urby.
Also if we can put Didac in at LB instead of Nini that would be great for us to see what he can do. Also De Sciglio should get some games at RB.

That formation looks like what we will be starting out with this season tho.

Reading through some of the older post -look at this squad!!!!!!! OMG, which team in europe would not jizz in their pants to have these players???compare this squad to the shit we have now!!! Where did it all go so wrong?

Especially against stronger sides this is interesting, while I've put defensive minded players on the wings. The wingers (and AM) can swap positions/sides with each other. I only did arrows for the 4 most attacking positions. For the attacking 4 positions there are enough alternatives. For defensive midfield too, except for Montolivo.

We're gonna need 10 players working the ball until the opponents box if we want to see Pazzo's magic.

Boateng must share his N°10 role with anoter guy. he can't handle things alone in the trequarti.

Papa Berlu frowns upon single striker formations, and quite frankly our squad is ill-suited for 4-2-3-1/4-3-2-1 (massive toll on lone striker, lot of defensive work required for wingers and we have no CAM's.

As our squad is right now, 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 would be the ideal.

My preferred one is in the signature already.

We have multiple options. The biggest problem for us is that Prince (our #10) is not nearly as creative as we need. But, we have Plenty of Defensive Midfielders. We could switch to the 4-2-3-1, or stay with our current setup.

Option A:
When Muntari comes back, we can confidently play the 4-2-3-1, with runners on the wings (Prince&Binho) and Monty as the creative force, with 2 destroyers behind him, and a poacher in the penalty box:

Other option is to move to a Christmas Tree formation, with two hard working forwards in support of Pato/Pazzini, moving Prince to midfield:

Not an option, but if Allegri wanted to change the system completely, I believe we now have the players to do it, playing a 3-4-3 or 3-5-2:

The 4-3-1-2 is too weak for us. We have a weak midfield still, and no AM still. I say we switch to a 4-2-3-1, where we play with wingers, and move Monty up more. When Muntari comes back he can play next to De Jong and they will be like a WALL.

For the time being, Montolivo/Ambrosini/Flamini can play next to De Jong.
